A big Malo 'Aupito from us all staff of TNCWC to all of those today who were so kind and supportive of our Fundraising. Your help and generous support we humbly thank you, eventhough you all had your own family budgets set and bills to pay yet you still manage to accept our invitation for Lunch plate orders. All in all, we are looking forward to our next upcoming LUAU, hoping to see you again and many others who would like to help out in supporting victims of Domestic Violence. 😊

FUNDRAISING LUNCH!!
TNCWC staff is selling lunch plates this Thursday for $50 per plate. Lunch will be chicken steak, shrimp salad, tuna poke served with garlic bread and mashed potatoes. This is a fundraising course to support TNCWC's daily operations to support women and children who are victims of violence.
Let us know asap via messenger or call if yu would like to place an order. Lunch will be delivered at 12-12:30pm this Thursday the 1st of June. Your support will be very much appreciated.

Today the Centre was pleased to provide further support towards women who are former participants of the Women's Economic Empowerment Project to build and advance their small businesses. The support was provided from the Civil Society Forum of Tonga through the Global Grant for women's empowerment during the post-eruption period.

The WEE Project was an initiative supported by the Government of Australia since 2018 and the women recipients of this support expressed gratitude towards the Director of CSFT, Mrs. Keasi Pongi and her team, for the recognition of their work and willingness to further support their income generating activities upon acquiring basic business skills through the WEE intiative.

The support provided was upon identification of challenges that these women face to ensure consistency and advancement of their ventures. Distribution materials varied from one woman to another, including top soil, tent (for canteen), fabric, fabric paint and plant pots.

TNCWC is excited to formalize a partnership with Phama Plus for ongoing pyschosocial support towards women and children in agriculture under their scope of work.

Today, Acting Director Ms. Emeline Takau and Senior Counselor Mrs. Malia Fanua was present for the signing of a letter of agreement on behalf of the Center with Phama Plus Deputy Team Leader Ms. Nikola Dowsing. Malo aupito to the Country Manager Tevita Lautaha for the facilitation of this partnership.

Today marks the international women's day. Our staffs were proud and grateful to be given this great opportunity and invited to celebrate together this wonderful event for Women here in Tonga and all around the world. 🙏💯
What we as womens do, plays a significant role in our families, communities and country. Your passion, giving your utmost into the work that you do to support your family, shows how brave and courageous woman you are.

It was a pleasure for the TNCWC staff to welcome Ms. Loretta Hunt-Tevaga (Executive Coordinator) and Mr. Ulaiasi Tamanisau (Assistant Superintendent) from the Pacific Islands Chiefs of Police Secretariat, to our office. As part of their mission, they visited NGOs doing work around Gender & Family Harm and TNCWC was privileged to be one of these NGOs.

Malo aupito to Sergeant 'Anamalia Aho (Gender & Family Harm) and Inspector Sipiliano Tapueluelu (Director - DVU/Tonga Police) for facilitating these visits.

Today TNCWC was honored to receive aid from Swire Shipping Tonga. Country Manager, Ms. Christina Heng conducted formal handover with TNCWC's Director, Ms. Emeline Takau today where Emeline expressed gratitudes on behalf of TNCWC and elaborated on how this support will be distributed to women and children of Tonga through client home visitations.

As discussed, this support is the start of ongoing collaboration and partnership between TNCWC and Swire Shipping Tonga. Aid provided consisted of:

150 x First Aid Kits
6 x Box of Clothes
15 x Bag of Pillow/Clothes,etc
6 x Bales of Blankets

As we draw close to the end of the year 2022, we gladly say it was a tough year full of different successful and tragic events and all.
