We are pleased to share the Meeting Report of the 1st Congress of the Tunisian Society of Human Genomics (TSHG), held in Sousse, Tunisia, from 17–19 October 2024.

This congress brought together researchers, clinicians, academics, and experts to exchange knowledge, discuss the latest advances in human genomics, and strengthen scientific collaboration.

La Tunisian Society of Human Genomics (TSHG) adresse ses chaleureuses félicitations au Dr. Hamdi Mbarek, cher ami de notre société et brillant chercheur Tunisien , suite à sa nomination officielle en tant que membre du Conseil scientifique de l'Organisation Mondiale de la Santé (WHO Science Council).

The Tunisian Society of Human Genomics (TSHG) is proud to highlight the participation of its President and Founding Members in the workshop **“Ethics and Governance of Human Genomic Data”**, organized by the Genome Tunisia Collaborative Alliance (GTCA) and the National Laboratory of Human Genomics at the Institut Pasteur de Tunis.

This multidisciplinary event brought together researchers, clinicians, legal experts, policymakers, and stakeholders to discuss the ethical, legal, and regulatory challenges surrounding human genomic data governance in Tunisia.

We extend our sincere thanks to the organizing committee for the invitation and for facilitating such valuable discussions on the responsible, secure, and ethical management of genomic data.

We would also like to thank the members of the Executive Board and all TSHG members who attended and actively contributed to the exchanges. Your engagement plays a key role in advancing human genomics and fostering collaboration within our community.

Together, we continue our mission to promote human genomics and contribute to building a shared vision for the future of research, innovation, and genomic data governance in Tunisia.
