what is NATEG? The North American Tunisian Engineers Group (NATEG) was founded by a group of Tunisian engineers and engineering students residing in North America following the 2011 Tunisian revolution. It is apolitical, non-profit, non-governmental, and it is all about engineering. Mission NATEG's mission is to build intra- and inter-continent networks and to establish bridges between Tunisians in Tunisia and those in North America for the bidirectional flow of ideas, the sharing of experiences and the leveraging of skills for the technological advancement of the post-revolution Tunisia. Objectives
Build a wide network of Tunisian engineers having a North American connection, wherever they may be.
Create bridging mechanisms that promote and facilitate the flow of ideas and of people between Tunisia and North America.
Promote engineering education and the engineering profession as well as technological entrepreneurship of young engineering graduates.
Contribute to the establishment of cross-Atlantic partnerships of different kinds.
Become a reference organization and a highly credible advisory body in engineering / technology matters to governmental agencies in Tunisia and in North America.
Collaborate with other North American based groups seeking to help in the technological development of Tunisia.
NATEG Present and Potential Activities In order to fulfill its missions NATEG keeps developing ambitious activities
NATEG Junior focuses on promoting STEM education for children from elementary school to high school. The students are taught engineering and soft skills through workshops, projects, events, competitions and more.
Organize events and competitions such as NATEG Days, technical competitions, soft skills events and conferences.
Organize educational and technical activities such as workshops as well as technical and soft skills training, internship projects and more.
Help the community (community service activities) with an engineering perspective.
Organize and manage NATEG student chapters in universities (promote activities that showcase the mission and values of NATEG through the school)
Launch real-life projects and promoting start-ups.
