What if silence was never the absence of a voice?
In her TEDxPasha Street Countdown talk, Arij Hamdouni takes us to Borj Salhi, a remarkable village in Tunisia where a Deaf community has built its own language, traditions, and sense of belonging. Through her own journey as the first Deaf YouTuber in Tunisia and the Arab world, she challenges the way we think about disability, inclusion, and who gets to be heard in conversations about the future.
This is a story about identity, resilience, and the communities we often overlook—reminding us that a just transition means listening to every voice, including those expressed through hands, silence, and lived experience.

Can stories change the future?
In her TEDxPasha Street Countdown 2026 talk, Bochra Fourti explores how stories, imagination, and childhood can become powerful tools for building a more sustainable world.

The energy. The voices. The emotion. The Countdown.
Step back into the atmosphere of TEDxPasha Street Countdown 2026 through our official aftermovie — a powerful journey of ideas, stories, and encounters that unfolded between the historic soul of the Medina of Tunis and the contemporary stage of the Cité de la Culture.
This edition was part of the global TED Countdown initiative, dedicated to accelerating solutions to the climate crisis. From local initiatives to scientific research, from community action to personal stories, the stage carried voices that reminded us that climate action is not abstract — it is deeply human, local, and rooted in our daily realities.
This was more than a conference.
It was a collective moment of awareness, emotion, and hope.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the partners who believed in this vision and made this edition possible — our exclusive partner Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Tunisie, and our official partners UN-Habitat Tunisie, WWF North Africa, Jnina Podcast , Dar Ben-Gacem, TAMSS, Mdinti-مدينتي, Blue Fish, Dar El-Harka.

Watch. Feel. Share.
Because the Countdown is still on.
