Oliang has been bitten by a cobra 😢
Sweet little Oliang was found with a swollen face this morning during feeding time. She ate well and seemed her usual self, but we had her checked by the vet just in case. Blood work was fairly normal, so she was send home with some medications.
This afternoon during feeding, one of our staff informed me that Oliang wouldn’t eat and that she seemed lethargic. She also found a dead cobra and I immediately had her taken to the vet. Blood was taken and in a matter of hours, some reading had spiked!
The swelling in her mouth from this afternoon seems to have subsided, but she is drooling excessively and appears lethargic. She has been given cobra antivenom serum, anti-inflammatory medication, a saliva-reducing medication, antibiotics and she needs to be admitted at the vet for observation. Her condition is uncertain at this time 💔 We desperately need your help with her vet expenses.
