Southeast Asian Youth Chamber Orchestra Depending on repertoire, the Orchestra numbers between 20-30 players and performs with a conductor. The SEAYCO Music Director for 2013 will be Prof.

The Southeast Asian Youth Chamber Orchestra will give the opportunity to 28 young musicians to work, rehearse and interact with professional musicians for an entire week at the College of Music, Mahidol University! The Southeast Asian Youth Chamber Orchestra (SEAYCO) offers opportunities to young musicians at the beginning of their professional careers, training them and giving them the chance to

work alongside experienced conductors and soloists and thus helping them gather valuable experience in a professional environment. Nicolás Pasquet from the Hochschule für Musik FRANZ LISZT, Weimar. WHAT TO EXPECT:

Performing in a small, high level group with distinguished directors and soloists is a valuable experience as is that of playing concerts in different halls at different Southeast Asian countries. Working with established professional musicians can provide contacts and hence information about future auditions for fully professional orchestras. The SEA Youth Chamber Orchestra project will take place from October 6th through October 15th and will be hosted by the College of Music, Mahidol University in Thailand. Each member selected will be offered a full scholarship and all expenses such as transportation and accommodation will be covered.
