Yesterday, ZinMai Experiences successfully conducted a test-run tour of our signature tour, ‘One City, Many Stories,’ together with our team, communities, and participants.

Throughout the sightseeing, we explored key stops along the route, practiced storytelling in real-time, and experienced the city through shared narratives and perspectives. The tour concluded at ZinMe Teahouse with a meaningful reflection session and constructive feedback.

We were also fortunate to witness the vibrant Poy Sang Long ceremony, of celebrating the young teens of the Shan Community transforming to novices of Buddhism at Wat Ku Tao, adding a special cultural moment to the day.

Many thanks to everyone who joined and contributed towards our Experiences.

Tapestry of People and Religions [Afternoon excursion]
-----------------------
After lunch, the workshop moved from discussion to practice.
Participants traveled together to Charoen Prathet Road, bringing their research and ideas into the real urban landscape they had been studying.

Participants explored its streets, communities, religious sites, and everyday life—learning how history, faith, migration, and trade intersect in one of Chiang Mai’s most diverse areas.

This hands-on exploration helped strengthen storytelling skills essential for delivering the evolving and ongoing events of the destination.

The day concluded with a wrap-up session at Alliance Française de Chiang Mai, reflecting on insights gained and lessons learned. Today’s workshop marks another step in developing ZinMai’ new experience, with a follow-up workshop planned in March.

Workshop.

From Inle Lake to Chiang Mai, cook alongside Min & May and learn authentic Intha family recipes passed down through generations.
This hands-on class invites you into the everyday kitchen of the Intha people, where food is shaped by water, seasons, and a close relationship with nature. You will prepare traditional dishes using seasonal vegetables, fish, and gentle home-style techniques.
As you cook, Min & May share stories from Inle Lake — floating gardens, Intha ways of life, and traditional fishing practices that have sustained their community for generations.

After cooking, the class continues with a shared tasting, where participants sit together to enjoy the dishes prepared, allowing flavors, stories, and memories to come together at the table.

Using fresh local produce in Chiang Mai, the recipes are thoughtfully adapted while staying true to the spirit of Intha indigenous food culture.
More than a cooking class, it’s a shared table of food, memory, and connection.

This workshop will conduct in English
