Announces Celebration of White Cane Safety Day 2024

Bangkok, Thailand – October 15 has been designated as White Cane Safety Day to celebrate the achievements of individuals who are blind or visually impaired, as well as to highlight the importance of the white cane as a symbol of blindness and a vital tool for independence. The Thailand Association of the Blind (TAB) serves as the national organization dedicated to promoting the rights and welfare of the blind community at both national and international levels.

We are thrilled to announce the upcoming celebration of White Cane Day 2024 on October 19, 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand, along with other 10 branches of ourregional offices.This significant event aims to honor the accomplishments of individuals who are blind or visually impaired while reinforcing the white cane as an essential symbol of independence and mobility.

We also encourage our brothers and sisters of blind community all around the world to organize white cane events to further raise public awareness of the significance of White Cane Safety Day. Together, we can strive to create a more inclusive and accessible society for all.

Let us unite in celebrating White Cane Day 2024 and advocate for the rights and independence of the blind community!
