ECPAT International Ending the sexual exploitation of children. ECPAT is the only global network that is exclusively dedicated to protecting children from this crime.

ECPAT’s success and strength is based on a strong and large membership. Not one member is the same; we have researchers, advocates, campaigners, service providers, survivor-led organisations all tackling the sexual exploitation of children from different angles. Today, ECPAT has more than 124 members in over 104 countries.

As a host, you see what others don't.

Who's checking in. Whether something feels off.

This is why we built a child protection e-learning course for accommodation hosts—to help you recognise, prevent, and report situations that may involve the exploitation of children. And to protect your own business in the process.

With millions of visitors arriving in host cities ahead of the FIFA World Cup, this is the peak time to be prepared.

Available in English and Spanish. Free for all hosts. Complete the course and receive a badge and certificate of completion.

Every plan for children should start with children.

When we design child protection policies and programmes without genuinely hearing from them, we risk building systems that don’t meet their needs.

Policies for children, without children, fail children. It’s time to change that.

Children know better.

The world's biggest sporting event is just weeks away. Is your team ready?

On , we're calling on every fan, traveller, and business to protect children from sexual exploitation.

It can happen anywhere—in stadiums, hotels, transport, restaurants, or any space. But every one of us has the power to stop it.

Football brings the world together. Let’s work to create protective environments for children, together.

"If we tell teachers, they say 'ignore it', but that doesn't make it stop." — Girl, Bangladesh

When there's nowhere safe to report, children don't stop experiencing harm. They just stop telling adults about it.

Meaningful child participation includes creating child-trusted spaces to speak, and adults who are prepared to act when they do.

Children know the unsafe classroom. The violence on the way home. The fears they can’t talk about.

And yet they are routinely excluded from the decisions that shape their safety.

Every day, adults make decisions about child protection without asking children what they experience. Often out of habit, assumption, or the belief that we already know enough.

But we don’t. It’s time for us to change how we make decisions—with children, not just for them.

Children know better. Listen and act.

A couple of weeks ago, some of our team sat together (remotely) and watched the "Louis Theroux: Inside the Manosphere" documentary.

It's safe to say that we had MANY reflections. We're sharing a few of them below:

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆?
In the documentary, what we see is an incredibly narrow idea of masculinity, where there's only one true way to "be a man"—and it's all about control—whether in the form of money, physical strength, or status.

But why do we reduce boys to these binaries and rigid expectations? What about their individual identities, emotions, relationships, ability to care for others and the different ways they make sense of the world around them?

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝗶𝗻?
The documentary is especially useful for folks who needed an introduction to the Manosphere and the influential voices in it. But one thing we found that was missing was: What draws boys into these spaces in the first place? What are they looking for? What might be missing in their lives that these spaces seem to offer?

𝗕𝗼𝘆𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽.
They engage with these spaces in different ways, shaped by their contexts and experiences. Masculinities are diverse and evolving. They are not fixed traits, but are shaped by how individuals relate to themselves and others.

It starts with us. Empathy, consent, respect, mutual learning. These are all important values to build, and it starts from childhood.

We're on a journey to help boys build healthy relationships. If you'd like to join us, start here:https://ecpat.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/GBI_Brochure_ENG.pdf (also available in Arabic and French!)

💭 If you watched the documentary, what did you think of it?

When children can shape the systems meant to protect them, those systems are more likely to actually work.

Together with our partners Association for Community Development and CWIN Nepal, 46 child researchers across Bangladesh and Nepal designed and led their own study on sexual exploitation and abuse, taking their findings directly to decision-makers.

Swipe through to learn what they found, and what it means for how we design child protection systems.

We’re putting the spotlight on some of our favourite picks from Beyond Game Jam: BiasBreakers!

Today’s featured game is: You Are Not Alone

Guide two spirits through a minimalist, top-down maze where separation is the only danger.

For this puzzle, connection is your lifeblood. With no death mechanics, you play as non-human entities prioritising mutual wellbeing to escape. Safety isn’t a backup, it’s an active, mandatory tether.

Stay close; you are not alone.

Children and young people play and learn in online gaming communities, which is why community safety needs to be designed with them in mind.

The great news: Moderators and safety teams now have access to the new GS Academy, a free learning platform built to strengthen community safety.

We're so grateful to GamerSafer for trusting us with this collaboration! Each module reflects what child protection expertise and a genuine commitment to online community safety look like in practice.

What GS Academy learners can gain:
- Practical, actionable knowledge about technology-facilitated child sexual exploitation and abuse
- Scenario-based training grounded in real Minecraft and Discord experiences
- Easy-to-follow guidance on writing rules, improving reporting, and responding to harm, in line with our gender sensitive safeguarding principles

If you're someone managing an online community, especially in the gaming scene, this platform is for you! And if you've been working on something similar, we're all ears and eager to connect.
