The Myanmar Response Network (MRN) wishes to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who attended and supported our World Refugee Day event at Landin, Chiang Mai on Sunday, June 21st. Our heartfelt thanks go to both our in-person guests and everyone who tuned in via Facebook Live. 🫶💙 This event was envisioned as a platform to foster mutual understanding, connection, and solidarity within our shared community. The evening was highlighted by several meaningful activities:
🍛 Knowledge Exhibition & Cultural Marketplace: A space dedicated to learning, experiencing diverse flavors through traditional food stalls, and enjoying welcoming live music.
🗣️ Insightful Panel Discussions: Thought-provoking dialogues on "Chiang Mai: Migration, Integration, and Coexistence," as well as "Thai Attitudes Toward Myanmar Migrants." These sessions provided valuable perspectives on how we can build a more inclusive society together.
🎶 Arts & Cultural Performances: A celebration of unity and hope, featuring vibrant cultural showcases and musical performances by talented Thai and Myanmar youth and artists.
The city of Chiang Mai is truly enriched by its diverse cultural tapestry and the spirit of coexistence. We hope the connections built during this event will continue to foster a welcoming and safe space for all.
