As part of the activities of Re-Hope Organization for Humanity under the project aimed at strengthening the capacities of Refugee-Led Organizations (RLOs), Chadian Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), and Women-Led Organizations (WLOs), Re-Hope, in partnership with DHD Internationale and the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Decentralization, and with technical and financial support from UNHCR and funding from the Mastercard Foundation, conducted a series of awareness-raising sessions in 7 provinces and refugee camps out of the 11 provinces targeted by the project.
The awareness sessions focused on explaining the legal and administrative procedures, steps, and required documentation for establishing and registering national associations in Chad. The sessions also provided participants with an overview of Re-Hope’s role within the project, particularly its responsibility to provide support and guidance to targeted associations and organizations in preparing and completing the required legal and administrative documents, including statutes, internal regulations, and other necessary documentation.
The activities witnessed strong participation, with more than 700 individuals representing approximately 500 associations and organizations taking part in the awareness sessions across the targeted provinces and refugee camps. Participants expressed their appreciation and gratitude to Re-Hope and its technical and financial partners for this important initiative, emphasizing the value of the information provided and the support that will help associations and organizations complete their legal and administrative formalization.
The project will be implemented over a period of three months and will include, in addition to the awareness-raising activities, continued assistance and support to targeted associations and organizations in preparing and completing their legal documentation, meeting administrative requirements, and opening organizational bank accounts, thereby strengthening their ability to operate legally, effectively, and sustainably.
