At our shelter, we are dedicated to empowering survivors of gender-based violence through comprehensive training and skill-building programs. Recently, our residents had the opportunity to participate in exciting workshops focused on developing creative skills such as crocheting and bead making. These hands-on trainings not only provide essential tools for independence but also serve as a powerful catalyst for healing and growth. Our goal is to create pathways to independence, fostering an environment where survivors can thrive and look forward to a brighter future.
Together, we celebrate their courage and determination as they transform from survivors to thrivers—breaking barriers with every step forward in their journey towards empowerment.

Our team met with Legal Aid to ensure comprehensive support for GBV survivors in our shelter. Survivors often face numerous legal challenges, including obtaining protection orders, navigating family law issues, or seeking justice through criminal proceedings against their abusers. With the help of legal aid, survivors won’t be getting only a safe place to stay but also protection from the hands of their perpetrators.
