LIVE FROM HLANE | BUGANU CEREMONY (SECOND DAY OF THE LEG)
As the Buganu celebrations continue to unite culture, tradition, and thousands of emaSwati from all walks of life, important work is also taking place on the ground.
The dedicated teams from HealthPlus 4 Men and Coordinating Assembly of Non‑Governmental Organizations (CANGO) are actively serving the community, working tirelessly under the blazing sun while delivering essential health and human rights services to festival attendees. ☀️
🎥 In the video featured here, our team is engaging with Bobhejane and other festival participants, sharing critical and life-saving information, including:
📚 Human Rights Information – Empowering communities with knowledge about their rights and access to services.
🛡️ HIV Prevention Education – Providing guidance on PrEP, PEP, ART adherence, and STI prevention to promote healthier lives.
🗣️ Health Education & IEC Materials – Distributing clear, practical, and accessible information that supports informed decision-making.
🤝 Community Engagement and Awareness – Facilitating meaningful conversations that encourage healthier, informed communities.
Throughout the festival grounds, many people are stopping by to ask questions, collect educational materials, and participate in important discussions that extend beyond the cultural celebrations.
While Buganu Festival celebrates Swazi culture, unity, and tradition, it also provides a valuable opportunity to promote health, dignity, and informed choices within our communities.
📢 Stay tuned for more updates, photos, and videos from the Buganu Ceremony as the celebrations continue.
