The PELUM Eswatini Country Coordinator, Mr. Sandile Sihlongonyane participated in the third and final TEAM3C Project Workshop, hosted by the Agricultural Research Council (ARC), and sponsored by GIZ SADC/Botswana in Pretoria, South Africa, from 17th to 21st November 2025.

The Agricultural Research Council (ARC), in partnership with the University Of Eswatini and zambia college of agriculture-monze, implemented a regional project to design and pilot a harmonized training programme focused on CSA and Climate-Sensitive NRM in Eswatini, Zambia and South Africa 2023 to 2025.

Through field excursions and technical discussions, scalable innovations were appreciated, providing an opportunity for farmers to mitigate and adapt to the impacts of climate change. PELUM Eswatini’s strategic partnership with the academia underscores the urgent need for participatory knowledge creation and farmer-led research in particular.

The exchange created valuable space for sharing practical experiences, strengthening farmer-driven innovation, and deepening regional collaboration within the PELUM network. The insights gained will help enrich ongoing farmer-led research work here in Eswatini.
