*🤝 Creating Safe Spaces for Healing and Support*
Moya Centre, in partnership with UNFPA, continues to strengthen community response efforts through the establishment of Safe Spaces aimed at providing a physically and emotionally safe environment for survivors of Gender-Based Violence (GBV).
These Safe Spaces are designed to ensure that survivors can access confidential, survivor-centred and trauma-informed services that promote healing, love, respect, protection, and empowerment.
The key focus areas of the Safe Spaces include:
• Psychosocial Counselling
• Case Management
• Safety Planning
• Structured Referrals
Eswatini continues to experience high rates of Gender-Based Violence, particularly against women and children. Statistics indicate that women and girls constitute 69% of GBV survivors, with most cases occurring within domestic settings.
Through this partnership, Moya Centre and UNFPA remain committed to restoring dignity, strengthening support systems, and creating safer communities where survivors are heard, protected, and supported.
Together, we continue turning adversity into advantage. 💜
