The Lusekwane ceremony marks the sacred beginning of the Incwala (First Fruits) Festival in Eswatini. Young Ingatja harvest the sacred shrub under the full moon, symbolizing purification, renewal, and national unity.

Today, His Majesty King Mswati III inspected the Lusekwane at Ludzidzini Royal Residence as preparations continue, with the main ceremony set for Tuesday.
