بمناسبة اليوم العالمي للبيئة نؤكد أهمية حماية بيئتنا ومواردنا الطبيعية خاصةً خلال موسم الحصاد الذي تزداد فيه مخاطر اندلاع الحرائق.
وانطلاقاً من مسؤوليتنا المجتمعية وإيماننا بثقافة اللاعنف التي تقوم على حماية الإنسان ومحيطه، فإن الحفاظ على البيئة مسؤولية جماعية تتطلب التعاون والوعي والالتزام بالسلوكيات الآمنة، لأن حماية الأراضي الزراعية والمحاصيل والموارد الطبيعية من الحرائق تسهم في صون الحياة وتعزيز الاستدامة، بما يضمن بيئة أكثر أمناً واستقراراً للأجيال الحالية والقادمة.

On the occasion of World Environment Day, we emphasize the importance of protecting our environment and natural resources, especially during the harvest season when the risk of fires increases.
Driven by our social responsibility and our belief in a culture of nonviolence that values the protection of people and their surroundings, we affirm that safeguarding the environment is a shared responsibility that requires cooperation, awareness, and commitment to safe practices. Protecting agricultural lands, crops, and natural resources from fires contributes to preserving life and promoting sustainability, helping to ensure a safer and more stable environment for present and future generations.

بالصور، نعود بكم إلى النشاط الميداني زيارة إلى "مزار دياري فلكي" الخاص بالمكون الإيزيدي التي أُقيمت بالتنسيق مع الناشط الإيزيدي "نسيم شمو"، ضمن سلسلة أنشطة مبادرة موزاييك التي تهدف الى التعريف بالثقافات الموجودة في المنطقة وتصحيح الأفكار المغلوطة لدى الفئات الشابة التي نفذتها منظمة "أهيمسا" بتاريخ 2 شباط/ فبراير 2024 في مدينة القحطانية ضمن مشروع "مسار".

جاءت هذه الزيارة بهدف تعزيز المعرفة والتعرّف على ثقافة وديانة المكون الإيزيدي، وفهم طقوسهم الدينية وعاداتهم وتقاليدهم ضمن نهج يقوم على الحوار والانفتاح والتفاهم بين المكونات المجتمعية.

خلال اللقاء، تم استقبال الفريق من قبل الناشط نسيم شمو، حيث قدّم شرحاً مفصلاً حول الديانة الإيزيدية، وأبرز الطقوس والممارسات الدينية في الحياة اليومية إضافة إلى تسليط الضوء على الجوانب الثقافية والاجتماعية لهذا المكون.

كما تم خلال الحوار تصحيح العديد من الأفكار المغلوطة والشائعات المتداولة في المجتمع، مما ساهم في تعزيز الفهم الصحيح وبناء صورة أقرب للواقع عن الثقافة الإيزيدية.

تميّز اللقاء بأجواء من الاحترام المتبادل والانفتاح، وفتح مساحة للحوار وطرح الأسئلة بما يعزز قيم التعددية والتعايش السلمي بين مختلف المكونات.

Photos of, we take you back to a field visit to “Diyari Falaki Shrine” belonging to the Yazidi component, organized in coordination with the Yazidi activist “Naseem Shamo,” as part of the Mosaic Initiative activities implemented by Ahimsa Organization on February 2, 2024, in Al-Qahtaniyah, within the “Masar” project.

This visit aimed to strengthen knowledge and understanding of Yazidi culture and religion, and to learn about their religious rituals, customs, and traditions through an approach based on dialogue, openness, and mutual understanding among different community components.

During the visit, the team was welcomed by activist Naseem Shamo, who provided a detailed explanation of the Yazidi faith, highlighting key religious practices in daily life as well as cultural and social aspects of this community.

The dialogue also helped correct many misconceptions and circulating rumors within society, contributing to a more accurate understanding and a clearer picture of Yazidi culture.

The visit was marked by an atmosphere of mutual respect and openness, creating space for dialogue and questions, and reinforcing values of pluralism and peaceful coexistence among different communities.

بالصور، نعود بكم إلى الجلسة التدريبية حول "الخريطة المجتمعية" التي نفذتها منظمة "أهيمسا" كجزء من انشطة بناء القدرات في مدينة الحسكة بتاريخ 31 يناير/ كانون الثاني 2024 وذلك ضمن مشروع "مسار"، بإشراف مدربين مختصين في مجال اللاعنف.

هدفت الجلسة إلى تعزيز فهم المشاركين لمجتمعاتهم من خلال استكشاف وجهات نظر مختلفة، وتنمية قدرتهم على تحديد قضايا التنمية المجتمعية والعمل على معالجتها بطرق تشاركية.
ركّزت الجلسة على محاور أساسية أبرزها:

• فهم المجتمع من خلال تعدد وجهات النظر.
• تحديد قضايا ومشكلات التنمية المجتمعية.
• رسم خريطة للمجتمع (البلدة/المدينة) وتحديد معالمه الأساسية.
• تحديد الطرق، الحدود، والمناطق الجغرافية المهمة.
• التعرف على الموارد والممتلكات المحلية.
• تحديد الخدمات والمرافق المتوفرة في المجتمع.
• استكشاف الفرص والإمكانيات المتاحة.
• تحديد المشكلات والمخاوف ضمن المجتمع.
• تحديد الفجوات (الاحتياجات غير المتوفرة) خاصة فيما يتعلق بمشاركة النساء في الحياة العامة والسياسية.
• الإشارة إلى المناطق غير الآمنة أو المحظورة.

خلال الجلسة، تم تقسيم المشاركين إلى مجموعات حيث عملت كل مجموعة على إعداد خريطة مجتمعية لمنطقتها باستخدام الأقلام الملونة والرموز التعبيرية، بهدف التعبير عن مشاعرهم تجاه مختلف المرافق والمناطق داخل المجتمع.

تميّزت الجلسة بأسلوب تفاعلي جمع بين العمل الجماعي والتفكير النقدي مما أتاح للمشاركين مساحة للتعبير والتحليل وتبادل الخبرات ضمن بيئة آمنة وداعمة.

Photos of, we take you back to a session on “Community Mapping” was implemented by Ahimsa Organization as part of the team’s capacity-building activities in Al-Hasakah on January 31, 2024, within the “Masar” project, under the supervision of specialized trainers in nonviolence.

The session aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of their communities by exploring different perspectives and strengthening their ability to identify community development issues and address them through participatory approaches.

The session focused on several key themes, including:

1. Understanding the community through multiple perspectives.
2. Identifying community development issues and challenges.
3. Drawing a map of the community (town/city) and identifying its main landmarks.
4. Defining roads, boundaries, and important geographic areas.
5. Identifying local resources and assets.
6. Mapping available services and facilities within the community.
7. Exploring existing opportunities and potentials.
8. Identifying problems and concerns within the community.
9. Highlighting gaps (unmet needs), particularly regarding women’s participation in public and political life.
10. Indicating unsafe or restricted areas.

During the session, participants were divided into groups, with each group working on creating a community map of their area using colored markers and symbols to express their perceptions and feelings toward different spaces within the community.

The session was highly interactive, combining teamwork and critical thinking, and provided participants with a safe and supportive space for expression, analysis, and knowledge exchange.

بالصور، نعود بكم إلى الجلسة الحوارية حول "الثقافة العربية والكردية" التي أُقيمت بالتنسيق مع حديقة القرّاء واتحاد المثقفين، ضمن سلسلة أنشطة مبادرة موزاييك التي تهدف الى التعريف بالثقافات الموجودة في المنطقة وتصحيح الأفكار المغلوطة لدى الفئات الشابة التي نفذتها منظمة "أهيمسا" بتاريخ 27 يناير/ كانون الثاني 2024 في مدينة الحسكة ضمن مشروع "مسار" حيث جمعت الجلسة متحدثين مختصين تناولوا جوانب مختلفة من الثقافتين العربية والكردية.

هدفت الجلسة إلى تعزيز الفهم المتبادل بين المكونات الثقافية، والتعرّف على الجذور التاريخية والاجتماعية لكل ثقافة، إضافة إلى تصحيح بعض الأفكار الشائعة المغلوطة.

ركّزت الجلسة على محاور أساسية أبرزها:

1. التعريف بأساس الثقافتين العربية والكردية.
2. نشأة اللغات وآدابها وتطورها.
3. الشعر كجزء أساسي من الهوية الثقافية.
4. السلالات والأصول التاريخية لكل مكون.
5. العادات والتقاليد المتبعة في المجتمعين.
6. المأكولات الشعبية والزي التقليدي.
7. الرقصات الشعبية وأهميتها الثقافية.
8. قصص وأساطير من التراث مثل: "مم و زين _ ألف ليلة وليلة _ سيامند وخجي _ الأميرة والفقير."
9. الأمثال الشعبية المتداولة في كل مكون.

تميّزت الجلسة بأجواء تفاعلية أتاحت للمشاركين فرصة النقاش وطرح الأسئلة، مما ساهم في تعزيز الحوار البنّاء وفهم أعمق للتنوع الثقافي وبناء جسور من الاحترام والتفاهم بين الثقافتين العربية والكردية.

Photos of, we take you back to a dialogue session on “Arab and Kurdish Culture,” organized in coordination with the Readers’ Garden and the Union of Intellectuals, as part of the Mosaic Initiative activities implemented by Ahimsa Organization on January 27, 2024, in Al-Hasakah, within the “Masar” project.

The session brought together specialized speakers who explored different aspects of both Arab and Kurdish cultures.

The session aimed to promote mutual understanding between cultural components, explore the historical and social roots of each culture, and address common misconceptions.

The session focused on several key themes, including:
1. An introduction to the foundations of Arab and Kurdish cultures.
2. The origins and development of languages and their literature.
3. Poetry as a core element of cultural identity.
4. Historical lineages and origins of each community.
5. Traditions and customs practiced in both societies.
6. Traditional cuisine and cultural attire.
7. Folk dances and their cultural significance.
8. Stories and legends from heritage, such as “Mem û Zîn,” “One Thousand and One Nights,” “Siyamand and Khaje,” and “The Princess and the Poor Man.”
9. Common proverbs shared within each community.

The session was marked by an interactive atmosphere that encouraged discussion and questions, contributing to constructive dialogue, a deeper understanding of cultural diversity, and the building of bridges of respect and mutual understanding between Arab and Kurdish cultures.

بالصور، نعود بكم إلى أولى فعاليات مبادرة موزاييك التي تهدف الى التعريف بالثقافات الموجودة في المنطقة وتصحيح الأفكار المغلوطة لدى الفئات الشابة التي نفذتها منظمة "أهيمسا" في مدينة الحسكة بتاريخ 21 كانون الاول/ديسمبر 2023 ضمن مشروع "مسار".

خُصصت هذه الجلسة لكسر الجليد وبناء الثقة بين المشاركين، وذلك من خلال مجموعة من الأنشطة التي ساعدت على تعزيز التواصل الإيجابي وتقبّل الآخر.

خلال الجلسة تم:

• وضع مجموعة من القواعد المشتركة التي تُنظّم العمل داخل المجموعة وتضمن بيئة آمنة وداعمة للحوار والتعاون.
• التعريف بالمبادرة وأهدافها العامة، والتركيز على أهمية التنوع ودور الشباب الفاعل في تنفيذ المبادرات المجتمعية.
• العمل على نقاشات تفاعلية حول أدوار ومسؤوليات الشباب ضمن المبادرة، والتأكيد على ضرورة توزيع المهام بشكل متوازن والعمل بروح الفريق الواحد لتحقيق الأهداف المرجوة.
• تمرين واحد لواحد: لتبادل المعلومات الشخصية والتعرف على بعضهم بشكل أعمق
• تمرين الجاسوس: لتعزيز الحوار وتقبّل الرأي الآخر.
• تمرين العامل المشترك: بهدف التأكيد على أهمية الحوار ووجود أرضية مشتركة بين الأفراد رغم الاختلافات الثقافية والعرقية والدينية.

واختتمت الجلسة بتأكيد فكرة أن التغيير يبدأ من الذات، وأن نجاح أي مبادرة يعتمد على إيمان أفرادها بمسؤوليتهم المشتركة في دفعها نحو الأمام، مما يعكس روح القيادة والعمل الجماعي لدى الشباب المشاركين.

Photos of, we take you back to the first activity of the Mosaic Initiative, implemented by Ahimsa Organization in Al-Hasakah on December 21, 2023, within the “Masar” project. The initiative aims to introduce the diverse cultures present in the region and challenge misconceptions among youth.

This session was dedicated to ice-breaking and building trust among participants through a series of activities that promoted positive communication and acceptance of others.

During the session:

• A set of shared rules was established to organize group work and ensure a safe and supportive environment for dialogue and collaboration.
• The initiative and its overall objectives were introduced, with a focus on the importance of diversity and the active role of youth in implementing community initiatives.
• Interactive discussions were held حول roles and responsibilities of youth within the initiative, emphasizing balanced task distribution and teamwork to achieve shared goals.
• “One-on-One” exercise: to exchange personal information and get to know each other more deeply.
• “The Spy” exercise: to encourage dialogue and acceptance of different opinions.
• “Common Ground” exercise: highlighting the importance of dialogue and the existence of shared ground despite cultural, ethnic, and religious differences.

The session concluded by reinforcing the idea that change begins within oneself, and that the success of any initiative depends on the shared commitment of its members to move it forward—reflecting the spirit of leadership and teamwork among participating youth.

بالصور، نعود بكم إلى نشاط زيارة كنيسة مريم العذراء في منطقة الناصرة لحضور الصلاة الاخيرة، ضمن سلسلة نشاطات مبادرة موزاييك التي تهدف الى التعريف بالثقافات الموجودة في المنطقة وتصحيح الأفكار المغلوطة لدى الفئات الشابة التي نفذتها منظمة "أهيمسا" بتاريخ 24 كانون الاول/ديسمبر 2023 في مدينة الحسكة ضمن مشروع "مسار".

حيث جاءت الزيارة في إطار تعزيز قيم التفاهم الديني والتعايش السلمي بين مختلف المكوّنات اذ تمت خلال الزيارة التالي:

• شارك الفريق في طقوس ذكرى ميلاد السيد المسيح وقدّم التهاني لأبناء الطائفة المسيحية بهذه المناسبة.
• وبعد انتهاء الصلاة، فتح حوار مفتوح بين المشاركين والـأب الياس حول الطقوس والعادات المرتبطة بأعيادهم الدينية.
• الإجابة عن أسئلة واستفسارات أعضاء الفريق.

حيث تم تقديم شرح مبسّط وواضح من قبل الكنيسة حول بعض المفاهيم منها:

• يوم الميلاد (القدّاس الإلهي).
• أسرار الكنيسة السبعة.
• رمزية الشجرة والغار والنجمة الخماسية.
• مفهوم الثالوث الإلهي المكوَّن من الآب والابن والروح القدس.

ساهمت هذه الزيارة في توسيع معرفة المشاركين حول المعتقدات المسيحية وأهمية احترامها ضمن النسيج المجتمعي المتنوع.

وفي ختام اللقاء، قدّم الأب إلياس للفريق كتيّباً من تأليفه حول الثالوث الإلهي كهدية رمزية تعبّر عن روح المحبة والانفتاح.

Photos of, we take you back to the visit to the Church of the Virgin Mary in the Al-Nasra area to attend the Christmas Eve prayer, as part of the Mosaic Initiative activities implemented by Ahimsa Organization on December 24, 2023, in Al-Hasakah, within the “Masar” project. The initiative aims to introduce the diverse cultures in the region and challenge misconceptions among youth.

This visit came as part of efforts to promote interfaith understanding and peaceful coexistence among different community components. During the visit:

• The team participated in the Christmas service and extended their greetings to members of the Christian community on this occasion.
• After the prayer, an open discussion was held between participants and Father Elias about religious traditions and customs related to their holidays.
• Questions and inquiries from team members were addressed.

The church also provided clear and simplified explanations of several concepts, including:

• Christmas Day (the Divine Liturgy).
• The Seven Sacraments of the Church.
• The symbolism of the tree, laurel, and the five-pointed star.
• The concept of the Holy Trinity: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

This visit contributed to expanding participants’ understanding of Christian beliefs and highlighted the importance of respecting them within a diverse social fabric.

At the end of the visit, Father Elias presented the team with a booklet he authored about the Holy Trinity as a symbolic gift, reflecting a spirit of openness and mutual respect.
