تهدف أهيمسا إلى تعزيز ثقافة اللاعنف و خلق دراية عامة حول أهمية اتباع اللاعنف و اعتباره ثقافة فكرية وروحية ملائمة لتطلعات الأمن و السلام, وحث المجتمع على اتخاذ الخطوة و المسؤولية اتجاه تبني الفكر اللاعنفي كأسلوب حياة و التجذر فيه.

ليس كل رفضٍ يحتاج إلى مواجهة وليس كل تغييرٍ يبدأ بالصدام.

أحياناً يكون الامتناع عن المشاركة في الممارسات الظالمة وسيلة للتعبير عن الرفض والدفاع عن الحقوق.

من خلال خيارات واعية وخطوات منظّمة وسلمية يمكن للأفراد والجماعات أن يرفضوا الظلم دون اللجوء إلى العنف أو إيذاء الآخرين.

فحين نختار ألّا نساهم في استمرار الضرر يمكن لمواقفنا الفردية والجماعية أن تتحوّل إلى قوة تدفع نحو التغيير.

Not every act of refusal requires confrontation, and not every change begins with a clash.

Sometimes, choosing not to participate in unjust practices is a way to express dissent and defend rights.

Through conscious choices and organized, peaceful actions, individuals and groups can stand against injustice without resorting to violence or harming others.

When we choose not to contribute to the continuation of harm, our individual and collective actions can become a force for change.

في ٢ أكتوبر اليوم الدولي للاعنف نتوقف عند اللاعنف بوصفه طريقة للتعامل مع الاختلاف وحماية الكرامة والسعي نحو التغيير دون إلحاق الأذى بالآخرين.

فاللاعنف لا يعني غياب الاختلاف أو الخلاف بل البحث عن طرق أكثر إنسانية للتعامل معه تقوم على الحوار والاحترام والمسؤولية.

في اليوم الدولي للاعنف نؤكد أن بناء السلام يبدأ أيضاً من اختياراتنا اليومية ومن الطريقة التي نتعامل بها مع بعضنا ومع محيطنا.

«كن جزءاً من التغيير الذي يبدأ بك»

في «قاموس اللاعنف» الحوار لا يعني مجرد تبادل الكلام بل هو طريقة مختلفة للتعامل مع الاختلاف طريقة تتيح مساحة للتعبير والإصغاء والاحترام.

فالحوار لا يتعلق فقط بما نقوله بل بكيفية الاستماع وكيفية التعامل مع اختلافنا.

فماذا يحدث عندما نغيّر طريقتنا في الحوار؟

من هنا نتوقف عند مفهوم الحوار من منظور اللاعنف.

In the “Nonviolence Dictionary” dialogue does not mean simply exchanging words.

It is a different way of approaching differences one that creates space for expression, listening and respect.

Dialogue is not only about what we say, but also about how we listen and how we engage with our differences.

So, what happens when we change the way we engage in dialogue?

This is where we explore the concept of dialogue from a nonviolent perspective.

هل كل خلاف يحتاج إلى مواجهة؟
وهل التعبير عن المطالب يعني بالضرورة التصعيد؟

هناك دائمًا أكثر من طريقة للتعامل مع الخلافات والمواقف الصعبة.

يمكننا أن نختلف دون أن نؤذي وأن نطالب دون أن ندمّر وأن نسعى إلى التغيير دون أن نفقد إنسانيتنا.

Does every disagreement require confrontation?
And does expressing our demands necessarily mean escalation?

There is always more than one way to deal with disagreements and difficult situations.

We can disagree without causing harm, advocate without destroying, and seek change without losing our humanity.

في اليوم الدولي للسلام نتوقف عند السلام بوصفه أكثر من غياب العنف فهو مساحة نمنح فيها لبعضنا فرصة للتعبير والإصغاء، الاختلاف دون إقصاء، التعاون رغم التباين.

السلام يبدأ من الطريقة التي نتعامل بها مع بعضنا.

في 21 أيلول/سبتمبر نجدد التذكير بأن بناء السلام مسؤولية مشتركة تبدأ بخطوات صغيرة في حياتنا اليومية وتكبر حين تتحول إلى ثقافة وممارسة.

On the International Day of Peace, we reflect on peace as more than the absence of violence.

It is a space where we give one another the opportunity to express ourselves and listen, to disagree without exclusion, and to cooperate despite our differences.

Peace begins with the way we treat one another.

On 21 September, we renew our reminder that peacebuilding is a shared responsibility that begins with small steps in our daily lives and grows when it becomes a culture and a practice.

ومن أين تأتي المفاهيم التي نستخدمها عندما نتحدث عن اللاعنف؟

في سلسلة «قاموس اللاعنف»، نقترب من مجموعة من المفاهيم المرتبطة باللاعنف ونحاول فهمها بطريقة مبسطة بعيداً عن التصورات الشائعة التي تختزل اللاعنف في مجرد الامتناع عن العنف.

تنطلق السلسلة من مفاهيم وردت في كتاب «قاموس اللاعنف» لتفتح مساحة للتعرّف إلى معانٍ وأفكار تساعدنا على النظر إلى الخلاف والنزاع والحوار والتفاوض والمصالحة من منظور لاعنفي.
في كل حلقة مفهوم جديد… وسؤال جديد يدعونا إلى التفكير.

Is nonviolence weakness or strength?
Where do the concepts we use when talking about nonviolence come from?

In the “Nonviolence Dictionary” series, we explore a range of concepts related to nonviolence and try to understand them in a simple way, moving beyond common perceptions that reduce nonviolence to merely refraining from violence.

The series draws on concepts presented in the book “Nonviolence Dictionary,” opening up a space to explore meanings and ideas that help us look at disagreement, conflict, dialogue, negotiation, and reconciliation from a nonviolent perspective.

A new concept in every episode… and a new question that invites us to think.

بالصور، الجلسة الحوارية حول "قيمة الحب"، التي نفذتها منظمة أهيمسا للاعنف بتاريخ 8 أيلول/سبتمبر 2026 ضمن جلسات تمكين المشاركين لكتابة الأبحاث في إطار مشروع "شبكة أهيمسا للاعنف".

جاءت الجلسة بهدف مناقشة مفهوم الحب وتحليله من منظور لاعنفي والتعمق في أبعاده وعلاقته بالعنف واللاعنف بما يساعد المشاركين على تطوير قدرتهم على تناول المفاهيم والقضايا المرتبطة بها ضمن أبحاثهم.

ركزت الجلسة على عدة محاور أساسية:
1. مناقشة مفهوم الحب وتعدد معانيه وسياقاته والتمييز بين أشكاله المختلفة.
2. مناقشة العلاقة بين المحبة والعنف، وكيف يمكن أن تتحول بعض أشكال الحب إلى مبرر للعنف.
3. تناول العلاقة بين المحبة واللاعنف، واعتبار رفض العنف شرطاً أساسياً للمحبة.
4. مناقشة دور المحبة في مواجهة الظلم والنزاع وأهمية الوقوف إلى جانب المتضررين ومقاومة الظلم بوسائل لاعنفية.
5. الربط بين مفهوم المحبة ومبادئ اللاعنف، ودور العمل اللاعنفي في الحد من العنف وفتح المجال أمام التغيير السلمي.

أتاحت الجلسة مساحة للحوار والتفكير المشترك حول مفهوم الحب وعلاقته باللاعنف وساهمت في تعميق فهم المشاركين للمفهوم وتطوير قدرتهم على تحليله وتناوله ضمن إطار بحثي.

واختتمت الجلسة بمجموعة من الأفكار والمخرجات التي يمكن البناء عليها في إعداد أبحاث تتناول قيمة الحب من منظور اللاعنف وعلاقتها بمواجهة العنف والظلم وتعزيز التغيير السلمي.

In photos, the dialogue session on “The Value of Love,” conducted by Ahimsa Nonviolence Organization on 8 September 2026, as part of the sessions aimed at empowering participants to conduct research within the framework of the “Ahimsa Nonviolence Network” project.

The session aimed to discuss and analyze the concept of love from a nonviolent perspective, explore its different dimensions and its relationship to violence and nonviolence, and help participants develop their ability to address related concepts and issues in their research.

The session focused on several key areas:
1. Discussing the concept of love, its diverse meanings and contexts, and distinguishing between its different forms.
2. Discussing the relationship between love and violence, and how certain forms of love can become a justification for violence.
3. Exploring the relationship between love and nonviolence, considering the rejection of violence as a fundamental condition of love.
4. Discussing the role of love in confronting injustice and conflict, and the importance of standing with those affected and resisting injustice through nonviolent means.
5. Connecting the concept of love with the principles of nonviolence, and examining the role of nonviolent action in reducing violence and creating space for peaceful change.

The session provided a space for dialogue and collective reflection on the concept of love and its relationship to nonviolence, contributing to a deeper understanding of the concept and strengthening participants’ ability to analyze and address it within a research framework.

The session concluded with a set of ideas and outcomes that can serve as a basis for developing research on the value of love from a nonviolent perspective, and its relationship to confronting violence and injustice and promoting peaceful change.

جاءت الجلسة بهدف العمل على تطوير آليات واضحة لاتخاذ القرار داخل الخلية وتعزيز قدرتها على التعامل مع الخلافات إلى جانب بناء رؤية مشتركة وتحديد الأهداف والأولويات التي ستوجه عملها خلال المرحلة القادمة.

ركزت الجلسة على عدة محاور أساسية:
1. بناء مسودة لنظام اتخاذ القرار داخل خلية الحماية واللاعنف.
2. مناقشة آليات التعامل مع الخلافات وإيجاد طرق مناسبة لإدارتها وحلها.
3. العمل على صياغة رؤية واضحة للخلية.
4. تحديد هدف استراتيجي عام للخلية.
5. صياغة مجموعة من الأهداف الاستراتيجية التي تسهم في تحقيق رؤية الخلية.
6. تحديد الأولويات ومجالات العمل التي ستركز عليها الخلية.
7. العمل على إعداد مسودة أولية لاستراتيجية عمل الخلية.

شكلت الجلسة مساحة للتفاعل وتبادل الأفكار حول آليات العمل واتخاذ القرار وأسهمت في تعزيز الفهم المشترك لدور خلية التعليم واللاعنف ومسار عملها.

كما أفضت النقاشات إلى مجموعة من المخرجات والتصورات الأولية التي ستسهم في تطوير آليات العمل وتحديد أولويات الخلية ونطاق تدخلها بما يعزز قدرتها على العمل بصورة أكثر وضوحاً وتنظيماً وبما ينسجم مع أهداف شبكة أهيمسا للاعنف.

With photos, the tenth dialogue session titled “Decision-Making System and Work Strategy,” conducted by Ahimsa Nonviolence & Peacebuilding Organization on 7 September 2026 as part of the activities of the “Ahimsa Nonviolence Network” project, with the participation of members of the Education and Nonviolence Cell.

The session aimed to develop clear decision-making mechanisms within the cell and strengthen its ability to deal with disagreements, while also building a shared vision and identifying the goals and priorities that will guide its work during the coming phase.

The session focused on several key areas:
1. Developing a draft decision-making system within the Education and Nonviolence Cell.
2. Discussing mechanisms for dealing with disagreements and identifying appropriate ways to manage and resolve them.
3. Working on formulating a clear vision for the cell.
4. Defining an overall strategic goal for the cell.
5. Formulating a set of strategic objectives that contribute to achieving the cell’s vision.
6. Identifying the priorities and areas of work that the cell will focus on.
7. Working on an initial draft of the cell’s work strategy.

The session provided a space for interaction and the exchange of ideas on working and decision-making mechanisms, contributing to a shared understanding of the role of the Education and Nonviolence Cell and its course of work.

The discussions also resulted in a set of outcomes and initial ideas that will contribute to developing working mechanisms and defining the cell’s priorities and scope of intervention, strengthening its ability to work with greater clarity and organization, in line with the objectives of the Ahimsa Nonviolence Network.

جاءت الجلسة بهدف بناء نظام عمل واضح لخلية الحماية واللاعنف لمساعدة أعضاءها على تنظيم العمل وتوزيع المسؤوليات وتحديد آليات التواصل والتنسيق إلى جانب تحديد نطاق عمل الخلية والقضايا التي ستعمل عليها.

ركزت الجلسة على عدة محاور أساسية:
1. تصميم دورة عمل الخلية وتحديد مراحل العمل من التخطيط وتوزيع الأدوار إلى التنفيذ والمتابعة والتوثيق والتقييم.
2. مناقشة آليات التعامل مع المواقف المختلفة التي قد تواجه الخلية وتحديد مسارات العمل والتنسيق ورفع التقارير.
3. تحديد الأدوار والمسؤوليات داخل الخلية وتوزيع المهام بين الأعضاء.
4. رسم خريطة عمل الخلية وتحديد القضايا التي تقع ضمن مسؤوليتها والقضايا التي يمكن العمل عليها بالتعاون مع الخلايا الأخرى.
5. تحديد المنظمات والجهات التي يمكن بناء شراكات وتنسيق معها ضمن مجالات عمل الخلية.
6. اختبار نظام العمل من خلال مواقف وسيناريوهات محتملة بهدف اكتشاف الثغرات وتطوير آليات العمل.

أتاحت الجلسة مساحة للتفكير المشترك وتبادل الأفكار حول دور التعليم في تعزيز قيم اللاعنف وساهمت في الانتقال من التصور العام لخلية التعليم واللاعنف إلى وضع أسس عملية تساعدها على العمل كفريق منظم وقادر على تطوير مبادرات وأنشطة مشتركة.

واختتمت الجلسة بمجموعة من المخرجات المتعلقة بآلية العمل وتحديد الأولويات ونطاق عمل الخلية بما يمهد لتطوير دورها وتعزيز مساهمتها في نشر ثقافة اللاعنف والتعليم من أجل السلام ضمن شبكة أهيمسا للاعنف.

With photos, the ninth dialogue session titled “Building the Cell’s Structure and Working System,” conducted by Ahimsa Nonviolence & Peacebuilding Organization on 6 September 2026, as part of the activities of the “Ahimsa Nonviolence Network” project, with the participation of members of the Education and Nonviolence Cell.

The session aimed to establish a clear working system for the Protection and Nonviolence Cell to help its members organize their work, distribute responsibilities, and define communication and coordination mechanisms, while also clarifying the cell’s scope of work and the issues it will address.

The session focused on several key areas:
1. Designing the cell’s work cycle and defining the stages of work, from planning and role distribution to implementation, follow-up, documentation, and evaluation.
2. Discussing mechanisms for dealing with different situations that the cell may face and identifying pathways for action, coordination, and reporting.
3. Defining roles and responsibilities within the cell and distributing tasks among its members.
4. Mapping the cell’s areas of work and identifying issues that fall within its responsibility, as well as those that can be addressed in cooperation with other cells.
5. Identifying organizations and stakeholders with whom partnerships and coordination can be established within the cell’s areas of work.
6. Testing the working system through potential situations and scenarios to identify gaps and further develop working mechanisms.

The session provided a space for collective reflection and the exchange of ideas on the role of education in promoting nonviolence values, and contributed to moving from a general understanding of the Education and Nonviolence Cell toward establishing practical foundations that enable it to work as an organized team capable of developing joint initiatives and activities.

The session concluded with a set of outcomes related to the working mechanism, the identification of priorities, and the cell’s scope of work, paving the way for developing its role and strengthening its contribution to promoting a culture of nonviolence and education for peace within the Ahimsa Nonviolence Network.

جاءت الجلسة في ظل ما تشهده المنطقة خلال الأيام الأخيرة من حالة توتر واحتجاجات وأحداث عنف لتفتح مساحة للنقاش حول مفهوم الدفاع المدني اللاعنفي ودور المجتمع والمواطنين في حماية الحقوق والحريات والحفاظ على استقرار المجتمع من خلال وسائل سلمية ومنظمة.

ركزت الجلسة على عدة محاور أساسية:
1. مناقشة مفهوم الدفاع المدني اللاعنفي والتمييز بينه وبين مفهوم الدفاع القائم على الوسائل العسكرية.
2. إعادة النظر في مفهوم الدفاع باعتباره مسؤولية مجتمعية ودور المواطنين في المشاركة في حماية المجتمع والحقوق والحريات.
3. مناقشة أهمية تنظيم المجتمع واستعداده لمواجهة التهديدات التي قد تطال استقراره أو حقوق أفراده بوسائل لاعنفية.
4. تناول دور المؤسسات والمجتمع المدني في بناء استراتيجيات للدفاع المدني اللاعنفي وتعزيز مشاركة المواطنين فيها.
5. مناقشة أساليب المقاومة المدنية واللاتعاون كوسائل سلمية لمواجهة محاولات السيطرة أو القمع والاعتداء على المجتمع.

1. Discussing the concept of nonviolent civil defense and distinguishing it from defense based on military means.
2. Reconsidering the concept of defense as a community responsibility and examining the role of citizens in participating in the protection of society, rights, and freedoms.
3. Discussing the importance of community organization and preparedness to address threats that may affect its stability or the rights of its members through nonviolent means.
4. Exploring the role of institutions and civil society in developing nonviolent civil defense strategies and strengthening citizen participation in them.
5. Discussing methods of civil resistance and noncooperation as peaceful means of confronting attempts to control, repress, or attack communities.
6. Connecting the concept of nonviolent civil defense to the current context and reflecting on its role in limiting the escalation of violence, protecting civilians, and strengthening social cohesion.

The session provided a space for dialogue and critical reflection on the concept of nonviolent civil defense and the importance of moving from reactions to crises toward building community awareness and preparedness capable of addressing threats through organized and peaceful means.

The session concluded with a set of ideas that can serve as a basis for developing research on the value of civil defense and its role in protecting society, rights, and freedoms, as well as strengthening citizens’ ability to respond to crises and conflicts from a nonviolent perspective.
