NEW BOREHOLE BRINGS CLEAN WATER IN MARIDI

We are pleased to hand over a newly drilled borehole to our faithful and the communities living around Emmanuel Parish in Maridi County, Western Equatoria State.

This was made possible through the generous support of Bishop Ron and Bishop Bill, who supported APDO through the CEEC Diocese of South Sudan and DR Congo to provide safe, clean drinking water for the communities of Maridi County.

The new borehole was handed over on Thursday, 21st November 2024, by a team from APDO and CEEC leadership.

Our Executive Director, Odetta Miwai, on behalf of APDO, thanked the two donors and our diocesan administration for entrusting the Action for Peace and Development Organisation to implement this project.

We are glad to have partnered with Faith Comes By Hearing (FCBH), a Bible listening and engagement program based on Romans 10:17. We trained a total of 60 trainers of trainees between May 16-18 in Yambio and May 20-21 in Maridi.

The training covered the importance of regularly listening to the Scriptures in their mother tongue. This program encourages people to gather and listen to a portion of the Audio New Testament in their heart language or a language they understand at least once every week for at least 20 minutes, and then discuss it for at least 40 minutes.
