Background
WCA is a non-profit making Community Based Organization established in 2010 with the name “Women For Change” and
registered with the State Ministry of Social Development in 2011 with the name “Women For Change Association”. WCA was formed by a group of women at Duduma as an initiative to fight against and curb high rate of forced marriage, domestic violence, and discrimination against women, abuse and violation of human rights in our society. WCA aims at exerting deliberate effort to prepare the South Sudanese especially women by assisting them live a fulfilled life of comfort which can never come on a silver plate without the involvement of women. Mission
To influence and enhance participation of women and girls in political processes, social and economic welfare through capacity building and education programs. To lobby and advocate for good cultural practices and policy change. To educate and support local communities on better hygiene and sanitation practices. To initiate micro-economic and saving schemes among women in the communities. To alleviate the effort of trauma caused by war and structured violence. Core Values

Activities
• Income generating activities [Micro-Finance] offered to women individually or groups.
• Conducting awareness on women’s rights and good cultural practices.
• Selling of tomato products produced from open small scale gardens.
• Training women on Micro-economic and Saving Schemes.
• Providing Psycho-social support to victims of GBV including others issues and diseases such as HIV/AIDS. Our Targets

WCA has three levels of structure as indicated below:
• General Assembly – is the supreme policy making organ of WCA.
• Board of Directors [BOD] - is the supervisory, advisory, and the governing body of the organization, who jointly provides direction, oversight and establishes a policy based governance system for WCA.
• The Management – is the secretariat headed by the Executive Director responsible for day to day activities of the organization
Geographical Location
WCA Head Office is located in Yambio County, the State Headquarter of Western Equatoria, Republic of South Sudan. However, WCA intends to expand its operations and programs to ten counties of the state in the near future. For more information please contact;
