Pibor Hunger updates

A breastfeeding mother who spent 3 days without food fainted during a registration exercise which was taking place in Pibor but luckily a good Samaritan stepped in and rescued her with something to eat and drink. Let's continue spreading love and kindness to the needy

Famine in the Greater Pibor Administrative Area (GPAA), two men starved to death while on their farm in Gumuruk county.

The entire population of Lekuangole County, also including the Gumuruk is facing high levels of acute food insecurity.

Days and nights without food and relying on unclean water and lily fruit only, and is even getting depleted, households are determined to experience catastrophic levels of acute food insecurity when there is an extreme lack of food and critical acute malnutrition is present.

Humanitarian intervention is highly recommended:

Providing life-saving humanitarian assistance by restoring health, nutrition, and safe water and sanitation services and providing nutritious, and sufficient food to the entire population.

As we celebrate South Sudan's 13th Independence Day, let's remember and pray for our brothers, sisters and children who are losing their lives because they cannot afford a single meal in whole week 🙏🙏🙏🙏

The situation in Lekuangole county of Greater Pibor Administrative Area(GPAA )is out of hand, 12 people; 4 men, 3 women, and five children, have starved to death due to hunger.

We therefore, appeal to the government to spur and encourage humanitarian and charitable organizations to kindly come for Aid intervention to avert this looming hunger.

The vulnerable groups like widows/widowers, elderly, blinds, disable, orphans, and people living with impairments are in dire need of assistance in terms of Food Aid, NFIs and medical assistance.
