MAYA Leadership Continues Zonal Visits with a Stop at New Site Zone
Yesterday June 28th, 2025, the Madi Youth Association (MAYA) leadership continued its zonal engagement tour, making its second stop at New Site Zone, following the successful first visit to Sherikat on June 24th.
The visit provided an excellent opportunity for the leadership to:
✔ Present their Work Plan
✔ Discuss key challenges affecting them
✔ Explore sustainable solutions and way forward
The entire New Site community warmly welcomed the leaders, expressing enthusiasm and actively sharing their views. The engagement strengthened the bond between MAYA and the Madi Alu community, fostering unity and collaboration. As part of the visit, the leaders also enjoyed a vibrant traditional Mure dance, celebrating Madi culture.
Key Highlights & Remarks from Leaders:
1️⃣ Ms. Esther Moria, Secretary of Gender & Women Affairs advised women to:
"Work hard to support your families and continue with your savings groups. When women are economically empowered, the entire community grows stronger."
2️⃣ Mr. Moga James. H, Chairperson urged the youth for their unwavering support, stating:
"Without the youth, MAYA’s leadership cannot succeed. Together, we can clap our hands, and our voices will be heard. Let’s keep pushing for progress!"
3️⃣ Chairman of Madi Alu Community appreciated the visit and urged MAYA to:
"Continue with regular zonal visits, engage more with the youth, and ensure the plans presented are fully implemented for the benefit of our people."
