A woman was found on the ground in Nakwasigira during our awareness campaign. The previous day she had experienced the loss of two family members to the Cholera outbreak. She was left to pass away. We are truly grateful we were able to stop and give her immediate care and transfer her to Kapoeta Civil Hospital. We ask for prayers as this is an unfortunate reality people are experiencing.

Today, the Medical Mission South Sudan team successfully completed the planned training for our dedicated Boma Health Workers (BHWs)!

Led by our very own Dr. Moding, the training was a success and honored by the presence of the County Health Department. Our trained BHWs are now ready to be deployed to various Oral Rehydration Points (ORPs) across their bomas, as outlined in our plan.

Up next: our open-air awareness campaign—stay tuned!

Thank you all for your continued support. Be blessed!

Our medical mission team is working towards combating Cholera. Today, our team educated people on how to make a drink to hydrate themselves. This drink called ORS (or Oral Rehydration Solutions) is made to aid in rehydration for a person who is experiencing the dehydrating symptoms of Cholera. This will help people maintain hydration until they can get to a medical service provider.
