🎓✨ Higher education in South Sudan takes immense grit, and today we are celebrating the incredible resilience of student entrepreneurs!

​While students in many parts of the world rely on part-time jobs to fund their studies, those opportunities are rare here. Instead, ambitious students from refugee and host communities have taken matters into their own hands—building small businesses to keep their university dreams alive.

​We are thrilled to officially launch the Youth Enterprise for Education Continuity Project! Through this initiative, KDF, with the vital support of COHERE, is investing directly in these student entrepreneurs so they can keep covering their tuition and educational needs. When businesses grow, education continues. 💡📚

​Threads of transformation are coming together in our tailoring vocational training workshops! 🧵✨

​We are thrilled to witness the incredible dedication and rapid progress of our trainees as they master the art of garment construction and fashion design. In just three short months of hands-on practice, these passionate individuals will step out not just as skilled artisans, but as confident entrepreneurs ready to launch and manage their very own fashion businesses.

Empowering Women Through Sustainable Livelihoods 🧵✂️

​Today marks an important milestone as the Kush Development Foundation proudly launched a 3-month Tailoring and Fashion Design Vocational Training Project under our sustainable livelihood initiative!

​This transformative project will directly support 30 women, equipping them with hands-on skills in garment construction and professional fashion design. To ensure long-term success and economic independence, the training also integrates comprehensive business and financial management modules to help participants thrive as entrepreneurs.

​We extend our sincere gratitude to UNHCR for funding this vital initiative. We were also honored by the presence and support of our esteemed partners at the launch event, including CRA, Education Needs All, WPCDO, and Together South Sudan.
