Juba, South Sudan – March 29, 2026
In the true spirit of Easter—a season of sacrifice, redemption, and love—the Christian Business Union (CBU) took its mission of compassionate service to the streets and hospital wards of Juba on Saturday, 28th March 2026. A high-level CBU team embarked on a humble assistance outreach, bringing the message of salvation, prayer, and tangible financial support to some of the city’s most vulnerable individuals.
The outreach team was led by the CBU Chairman, Mr. Jacob John Isaac, and included Hon. Jane Abdu (Senior Advisor, Member of Parliament, and the Chairman’s wife), Rev. John Isaac (Head of Department for Spiritual Affairs), Mr. Patrick Kenyi (Operations Manager), and two of the Chairman’s daughters, Esther Jacob and Faith Jacob, who assisted with photography, preparation of aid materials, Gospel booklets, and the packaging of financial aid.
A Morning of Street Evangelism and Compassion
The program began with the team moving through the streets of Juba, prayerfully identifying and approaching vulnerable individuals, including people with disabilities, beggars, the elderly, and especially women and children. For each person they encountered, the team offered a message of hope through salvation, prayed with them, and distributed Gospel booklets alongside a financial gift of 30,000 South Sudanese Pounds per envelope.
A Visit of Healing to Al-Sabah Children’s Hospital
In the second phase of the day’s mission, the CBU team visited Al-Sabah Children’s Hospital, where they were warmly received by the Hospital’s Director General. The team then toured every children’s ward, sharing the message of Christ’s love and resurrection, praying over the young patients, and distributing financial support to every child admitted at the hospital.
The visit brought visible comfort and joy to the children, their families, and the hospital staff.
A Testament to CBU’s Core Mission
This Easter initiative is a powerful reflection of CBU’s three-pillar mission, demonstrating that the union’s commitment to humanitarian action is not merely theoretical but is actively practiced. By combining spiritual outreach with practical financial assistance, CBU continues to embody its founding principle: transforming lives through faith and compassionate service.
The Chairman, Mr. Jacob John Isaac, reflected on the day: “This is the heart of CBU. We are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus, especially during this season of remembrance. To bring hope, prayer, and a tangible gift to those who are suffering is our privilege and our duty.”
The event stands as a powerful reminder that true transformation begins with humble acts of love, reaching those who are often forgotten, and sharing the unshakeable hope found in the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
