TOCH South Sudan on Tuesday, March /03rd/2026 joined fellow Kong-Koc Consortium partners during the official handover of twelve newly constructed and renovated rule of law facilities to the Warrap State Government at Romic Headquarters in Tonj East County, Warrap State.
The 12 facilities handed over include Court yards, Prison houses, and Police stations all built by UNDP under KongKoc Phase I, stabilization pillar in hot spot areas.
The ceremony was presided over by H.E. Amb. Bol Wek Agoth, Governor of Warrap State, and attended by senior state officials, including the Commissioners of Tonj East and Tonj North, Warrap State Police Commissioner, Director of Prison Services, state ministers and advisors, consortium partners, and representatives of the local communities.
In his keynote address, Bol Wek Agoth commended kongkoc consortium partners for their dedication and reaffirmed the state governmentโs commitment to sustaining the infrastructure and services.
He described the facilities as more than just infrastructure, calling them โvital tools for peaceโ that will strengthen justice delivery systems and contribute to long-term stability across the state.
Mama Anastasie Nyirigira, Head of UNMISS in the Bahr el Ghazal region, underscored that protecting the infrastructure is a collective responsibility and she expressed confidence that justice would now prevail, stressing that no one should take the law into their own hands.

was established in Its phase I, in (2023-2025) as a response to address drivers and enablers of decades of unresolved communal conflict in Greater Tonj (Tonj East, Tonj North, and Tonj South) Counties warrap State, and Phase II (2025-2028) program now expands its interventions from the Greater Tonj to Cueibet and Rumbek North Counties of Lakes State to address cross-border conflict and promotes sustainable livelihoods, social cohesion, and improved perceptions of safety through a consortium including UNDP, UNMISS, WFP, TOCH, ADRA, Steward Women and Peace Canal
