Event Update / 19th December, 2025.

LFSS successfully conducted a Festival-Based Psychosocial Support Event at Juba Orphanage, Central Equatoria State, aimed at promoting emotional healing, resilience, and psychosocial well-being among orphaned children.

The event created a safe and joyful space where children could freely express themselves, connect and experience positive emotions. One of the key activities was art therapy, where children were invited to draw and describe what makes them happy. Through their artwork, the children expressed hope, dreams, love, friendship, play, and a sense of belonging—powerful reminders of their inner strength and resilience.

Moments like these reaffirm the importance of child-centered psychosocial support in nurturing healing, restoring joy, and giving children the confidence to express their voices.

Lucid Futures South Sudan (LFSS) was honored to join GIZ in marking the 16 Days of Activism Against GBV. This year, we highlight digital violence — a growing form of abuse that causes real psychological harm through cyberbullying, online harassment, and the non-consensual sharing of images.

LFSS stands with all survivors, both offline and online.

The trauma caused by digital abuse is real and deserves recognition, protection, and healing.

Today, Lucid Futures South Sudan (LFSS) joined the Ministry of Health and partners in the launch of the National Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Strategic Plan 2025–2029, held alongside commemorating World Mental Health Day 2025.

The launch, officiated by Hon. Sarah Cleto Rial, Minister of Health, brought together government institutions, UN agencies, NGOs, and community leaders to reaffirm the collective commitment to prioritizing mental health as a national development and humanitarian priority.

LFSS applauds the Ministry of Health and the MHPSS Technical Working Group (TWG) partners for this milestone initiative, which sets a roadmap for coordinated, inclusive, and culturally sensitive care for all.

As a women-led, community-centered organization, LFSS remains dedicated to supporting this vision, ensuring that every voice is heard, wounds are healed, and futures are reclaimed.
