🧍♀️ Empowering Women and Girls in Mangateen IDP Camp
(From: GBV Monthly Report – May 2025)
In the Mangateen IDP Camp, every conversation counts. Every safe space matters.
Throughout May, HACO reached 210 individuals, women, girls, boys, and men, through critical GBV prevention and response services. Survivors of gender-based violence received case management and psychosocial support, while ongoing EMAP sessions helped 46 women explore identity, power, and healing in a safe, trusted environment.
For adolescent girls, the Girl Shine life skills program is creating new paths. 46 girls are currently learning about health, trust, and safety in a 32-week journey that builds confidence and community.
We also reached 87 community members through SASA awareness activities—focusing on challenging harmful gender norms and reshaping how power is used in relationships.
🙋♀️ 7 GBV survivors supported
👩👧 24 women in focused PSS sessions
👧 46 girls in life skills program
💬 87 people engaged in gender awareness
Change doesn’t happen overnight. But with every session, every story shared, and every life touched—we’re making it real.
🙏 Thank you to the community, facilitators, and donors standing with us.
