floodwaters in Thockak Boma, paguir payam, Fangak county have overflown the d**e, putting entire communities at risk. Families are losing homes, children are exposed to disease, and livelihoods are being washed away. What was built to protect people is no longer enough against the rising water levels.
This is not just a seasonal challenge anymore it is a humanitarian emergency that needs urgent intervention before more lives are affected.
Communities in flood-prone areas are calling for immediate support: • Reinforcement and rehabilitation of damaged d**es
• Emergency shelter and relief supplies
• Safe drinking water and sanitation support
• Protection for women, children, and vulnerable families
Every delay increases the danger. Collective action can save lives and reduce further destruction.

CMDI believes education unlocks every child’s future in South Sudan 🇸🇸

Floods forced us from our homes and classrooms. Our books and learning materials were washed away, and many children are now sick and struggling without proper shelter, clean water, or education. Despite these challenges, we still dream of learning and building a better future. Every child deserves safety, education, and hope.”

Last year, devastating floods displaced more than 20,000 people across Kuernyang Payam and Fangak County in South Sudan. Families lost homes, children lost access to education, and entire communities were left struggling to recover.
Today, communities fear the same crisis may repeat itself as the rainy season approaches. But early action can still make a difference.
At CMDI, we are working to support vulnerable children and families through emergency education support, child protection, WASH services, nutrition assistance, and community-based response efforts.
Every contribution — no matter how small — can help protect lives, restore dignity, and give children hope for a safer future.
Together, we can prevent another humanitarian disaster from becoming worse.
