Floods forced us from our homes and classrooms. Our books and learning materials were washed away, and many children are now sick and struggling without proper shelter, clean water, or education. Despite these challenges, we still dream of learning and building a better future. Every child deserves safety, education, and hope.”

Last year, devastating floods displaced more than 20,000 people across Kuernyang Payam and Fangak County in South Sudan. Families lost homes, children lost access to education, and entire communities were left struggling to recover.
Today, communities fear the same crisis may repeat itself as the rainy season approaches. But early action can still make a difference.
At CMDI, we are working to support vulnerable children and families through emergency education support, child protection, WASH services, nutrition assistance, and community-based response efforts.
Every contribution — no matter how small — can help protect lives, restore dignity, and give children hope for a safer future.
Together, we can prevent another humanitarian disaster from becoming worse.
