South Sudan has a fragile food system associated with trends of humanitarian assistance and resilience building

Most response to food systems crisis are separately implemented. To curb this crisis we at SYNC foundation we need a systematic change not aided projects. Although humanitarian assistance are crucial at savings lives and restoring dignity to the vulnerable communities, building resilience also requires inclusive and community owned solutions that encourages value retention at the every level of the food chain.

SYNC foundation would like to thank, the organizers of the C4C two days localization round table sponsored by Oxfam it was quite informative and this would pave ways of access for funding and passporting of due diligence process for local actors in the humanitarian sector in South Sudan.

As part of the youth empowerment initiatives being implemented by SYNC foundation, the youth group that was birthed as a result of the initiative yesterday meet to tell local climate stories in order to create ambitious and create urgency for climate action.
The story teller is Allam a member of the group, the story is about the famine experienced in Torit in 2016, and the story is told in local dialects.

Yesterday during our meeting with the youth to design the BRI: for climate recovery and improving social cohesion:
we had a fruitful meeting and co-developed the project activities to be implemented within Torit to build ambition and urgency for climate action among community members.
Unfortunately most of the ladies didn’t turn up for the meeting. The members resolved that,we must mombalize the ladies and meet on Monday 16th so that thier voices are included in the activities design.
