24 π’π„ππ“π„πŒππ„π‘ 2026 - ASK Foundation, led by Executive Director Deng Arop Mawien, together with the Twic Youth Leadership, led by Deng William Kuir (Deng Junior), visited Mangalla to assess the situation of displaced communities.

The team met with community leaders and displaced families, who shared their main challenges. According to UNHCR estimates, about 49,232 displaced people are currently living in Mangalla, many displaced by flooding in Jonglei State and other areas.

The main needs identified include clean water, healthcare, food, education, and other basic assistance.

The leadership of the Twic East Youth Association in Juba, led by Deng William Kuir (Deng Junior), today met with the ASK Foundation, led by Executive Director Deng Arop Mawien.

The meeting focused on key community needs in Twic East and Greater Jonglei state, particularly access to clean water, healthcare, medicines and other essential services.

ASK Foundation assured the youth leadership of its continued support and committed to providing solar-powered water yards and additional boreholes in Twic East.

The Foundation will also conduct an assessment to identify other priority needs and areas requiring support. The meeting emphasized the importance of collaboration between youth leaders, communities and civil society organizations to improve service delivery and community well-being.

The Former LeeTaeSoak Foundation Compound, has been provided to ASK Foundation, During the visit, the team was welcomed and guided through the compound by Marial Moses, who showed them the various facilities and building.

ASK Foundation appreciates The Lee-Tae-Soak Foundation for their support they had provided to the community and Also appreciates the Tonj community and the Warrap State Government for their support and cooperation. The Foundation also acknowledges the community’s continued cooperation and remains committed to supporting initiatives that promote the well-being, education, development, and health of communities across South Sudan.

π“πŽππ‰ π’πŽπ”π“π‡ - 𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐀𝐏 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐄. ASK Foundation team today visited Tonj Town for a hospital assessment and to evaluate the available medical facilities. The team was welcomed by Tonj South County Executive Director, Gabriel Atem Aguek, who led them to Tonj Civil Hospital.

At the hospital, the team met Dr. Romano Deng Majok, Medical Director of Tonj Civil Hospital, who appreciated ASK Foundation’s leadership for the services they continue to provide to communities across the country.

Dr. Deng led the team, headed by Executive Director Deng Arop Mawien and ASK Foundation Ambassador Aluong Majook Mac, through the laboratory and medical stores, where he presented the available medicines and facilities.

Executive Director Deng Arop Mawien appreciated Dr. Deng for his honest presentation and thanked the Tonj community, Tonj South County Government, particularly the County Commissioner and the Government of Warrap State, headed by the Governor H.E. Amb. Bol Wek Agoth and State Ministry of Health for their continued cooperation.

On 21 Aug 2026, the ASK Foundation team met with H.E. Taban Deng G*i, Vice President for the Infrastructure Cluster, to discuss agricultural initiatives that strengthen community livelihoods across the country.

These initiatives build on years of collaboration with Dr. Andreas B.W. Wesselmann, an Honorary Professor and CEO of AWG‑Projects, Germany, who has shared over 25 years of expertise in organic farming, agroforestry, and sustainable development with government leaders and students at the University of Juba.

H.E. Taban Deng G*i encouraged ASK Foundation to continue its nationwide efforts and remain committed to serving the people of South Sudan.

Medical Experience Sharing Session

ASK Foundation was pleased to welcome a group of medical doctors who spent more than three months in the Republic of South Korea, sponsored by the Lee Tae-Seok Foundation in coordination with the ASK Foundation.

The doctors visited ASK Foundation to share their experiences, knowledge, and lessons learned during their time in South Korea. Their reflections provided valuable insights into medical practices, professional development, and opportunities to strengthen healthcare services in South Sudan.

We once again extend our sincere appreciation to the Lee Tae-Seok Foundation and the people of South Korea for their continued support and commitment to South Sudan. Their partnership is making a meaningful contribution to strengthening healthcare services and improving the lives of people across the country.

We are pleased to announce that a team of Greek doctors will arrive in Juba in mid‑September 2026. They will travel to Warrap State to provide general medical services and support to local communities.

This mission is a great opportunity for both local residents and health professionals to benefit from and participate in meaningful humanitarian work.
