📢 YAFCT-SS Participates in Peace building Stakeholders Meeting.

On 03 June 2026, Youth Action for Community Transformation Organization (YAFCT-SS), in consortium with CEPIC, attended a strategic meeting at the State Ministry of Peace building aimed at strengthening peace and social cohesion across South Sudan.

Key discussions and takeaways included:
✅ The urgent need to promote sustainable peace in Terekeka County.
✅ Addressing challenges affecting conflict-affected communities across South Sudan.
✅ Strengthening the role of government and community leaders in peace building and conflict resolution.
✅ Harmonizing cattle-related issues to enhance peaceful coexistence, cooperation, and community stability.

YAFCT-SS remains committed to working with government institutions, community leaders, youth, women, and partners to promote peace, unity, and sustainable development throughout South Sudan.

📢 YAFCT-SS Participates in Charter for Change Coordination Meeting.

On 01 June 2027, Youth Action for Community Transformation Organization (YAFCT-SS) actively participated in a coordination meeting organized by Charter for Change.

The meeting brought together members of the Technical Working Group (TWG), coordinators, and partner organizations to strengthen collaboration, organization, and coordination around the localization agenda.

The discussion focused on enhancing local leadership, promoting meaningful participation of national organizations, and fostering collective action to advance localization efforts in South Sudan.

YAFCT-SS was represented by its dedicated staff members, who contributed to the discussions and reaffirmed the organization's commitment to strengthening locally led development and humanitarian action.
Together, we continue to build stronger partnerships and empower local actors to lead sustainable change in our communities.

Youth Action for Community Transformation Organization (YAFCT-SS) is proud to announce that the Executive Director Moro Moses James, serving under the CEPIC Consortium , was officially invited to participate in a high-level training and policy dialogue on:

THEME.

“Assessing the Implications of Uganda's Shift from Group Status Refugee Recognition, with South Sudan as a Case Study.” ( Policy Migration)

The engagement brought together civil society actors, policy experts, and humanitarian stakeholders to discuss the evolving refugee protection framework and its impact on South Sudanese refugees living in Uganda.
Key takeaways from the training included:

1-The importance of strengthening refugee protection mechanisms in line with international and regional refugee laws.

2-The need for continuous policy dialogue between governments, humanitarian actors, and refugee-led organizations.

3-The significance of legal documentation and individual refugee status determination processes.

4-Enhancing advocacy efforts to protect the rights, dignity, and access to services for refugees and asylum seekers.

5- Promoting regional cooperation and sustainable solutions for displacement-affected communities.

YAFCT-SS remains committed to advocating for peace, human rights, protection, and durable solutions for refugees and vulnerable communities across South Sudan and the region.

Today marks another important milestone for in consortium with .
The Executive Director of YAFCT-SS, serving as the Program Manager for CEPIC Consortium, paid a successful visit to the to discuss strategic collaboration on strengthening democratic participation and peaceful electoral processes in South Sudan.
The meeting focused on key areas including:
✅ Election reporting tools.
✅ Voter and civic education.
✅ Monitoring of electoral processes.
✅ Prevention and protection against electoral violence.

Furthermore, we strongly emphasized the need for NEC support in empowering CEPIC Consortium through capacity-building initiatives aimed at training:

Youth Action for Community Transformation Organization (YAFCT-SS) is pleased to inform the public and our partners that our staff member, Tamanya Christopher, successfully attended the General Assembly Debrief Meeting organized by the Central Equatoria State Civil Society Network.

The meeting was hosted at the hall conference organized by TIDE Organization and focused on important discussions concerning the participation of civil society organizations in conferences, the current progress and status of the Central Equatoria State Civil Society Network, and the implementation of the Charter for Change.

The discussions also emphasized the important role of civil society member organizations in contributing to the growth, coordination, cooperation, and progress of the network for effective humanitarian and community service delivery in South Sudan.

YAFCT-SS highly appreciates the efforts of the organizers and all participating organizations for their commitment towards strengthening civil society engagement, partnership, and collective action for sustainable community transformation.

With over seven years of experience in senior management roles, including his position as Executive Director of the Youth Action for Community Transformation (YAFCT-SS), a member organization of the CEPIC Consortium, Moro Moses James brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our team.

Subject: Celebrating a Successful Fundraising & Post-Evaluation Milestone – YAFCT-SS

We are proud to share a remarkable milestone achieved by Youth Action for Community Transformation Organization (YAFCT-SS) in partnership with CEPIC Consortium.

Through the strong leadership and coordination of the Protocol Committee, the Organizing Committee, and the Master of Ceremony, we successfully conducted our fundraising event. This achievement was further strengthened by the successful completion of the fundraising post-evaluation held on 27/04/2026.

This moment is especially significant as it marks the very first time YAFCT-SS has actively participated in a fundraising initiative. Not only did we participate, but we also made meaningful contributions during the resource mobilization process, with four dedicated staff members fully engaged in the effort.

This experience serves as a powerful learning platform, strengthening our capacity, teamwork, and commitment toward sustainable community service delivery. It reflects our collective determination to grow, adapt, and create impact despite challenges.

Youth Action for Community Transformation Organization (YAFCT-SS) proudly acknowledges the active participation of its staff member, Mr. Richard Batali, in the partners’ coordination meeting held on 11/02/2026 in preparation for the upcoming International Women’s Day celebration scheduled for 10/03/2026.

The meeting brought together key stakeholders and partner organizations to strategize, plan, and align efforts toward a successful commemoration of International Women's Day. Discussions focused on strengthening collaboration, promoting gender equality, and ensuring impactful community engagement during the celebration.
