Dear YAFCT-SS Family,

I am pleased to inform and certify all our dedicated Global Donor's, volunteers and field coordinators across the eight states in south Sudan that Youth Action for Community Transformation – South Sudan (YAFCT-SS) has officially established its organizational website: yafct-ss.org. with the support from CHIDDO organization

This is an important milestone for our organization and a new opportunity to increase our visibility, credibility, networking, fundraising, and partnership opportunities at both national and international levels.

Therefore, I warmly encourage all YAFCT-SS staff, volunteers, and field coordinators to actively help identify, connect, and engage potential donors, international organizations, development partners, private-sector actors, and other strategic partners from South Sudan and around the world.

YAFCT, which stards for youth action for community transformation

On 26 August 2026, CEPIC Consortium held its monthly coordination meeting, bringing together member organizations to strengthen coordination, partnership, resource mobilization, organizational capacity and collective action.

The meeting reviewed key updates, including NGO Forum recognition, due diligence, partnership engagement with NewGen/Mothering Across Continents, office establishment, resource mobilization and capacity assessment of member organizations.

Youth Action for Community Transformation Organization (YAFCT-SS) was pleased to participate and remains committed to strengthening collaboration, peace building, humanitarian action and community transformation through the CEPIC Consortium.

We appreciate all member organizations for their participation, contributions and continued commitment. Together, we can build a stronger and more sustainable consortium.

Building Stronge Institutional Capacity at YAFCT-SS Organization

Today On 25/08/2026.

We are thrilled to announced that key staff members of Youth Action for Community Transformation Organization – South Sudan (YAFCT-SS), including the Finance Officer, Program Manager, Logistics & Procurement Officer, KUDOS, and our newly appointed IT Officer from Western Equatoria, have successfully participated in a due diligence assessment conducted by the Central Equatoria State Civil Society Network (CESCSN) with support from UNMISS.

The assessment was conducted at the YAFCT-SS Main Office in Juba and covered several important areas of organizational capacity, governance, finance, programs, logistics, procurement, IT systems, policies, and institutional accountability.

We are proud that our team demonstrated commitment, experience, transparency, and willingness to learn throughout the assessment. While the process highlighted areas requiring further strengthening, YAFCT-SS remains committed to addressing identified gaps and continuously improving our systems and practices.

We sincerely appreciate CESCSN and UNMISS for their valuable support and for providing this opportunity to strengthen the capacity of national civil society organizations.
Together, we are building a stronger, accountable, professional, and sustainable YAFCT-SS for meaningful community transformation in South Sudan.

*📢 PEACEBUILDING MEETING UPDATE*
*Date*: 21st August 2026

Youth Action for Community Transformation - South Sudan *YAFCT-SS* joined a high-level peacebuilding meeting bringing together women leaders and stakeholders from *Warrap, Lakes, and Unity States*.

The meeting was *Co-Chaired by*:

1. *Madam Natasha* - UNDP
2. *Hon. Pia Philip Michael* - Undersecretary, National Ministry of Peacebuilding

*Representatives present*: Women’s Union from Warrap, Lakes, and Unity States.

# # # # *PURPOSE OF THE MEETING*

To discuss the current peace and security situation, emerging conflicts, and opportunities to strengthen peace and social cohesion in the 3 states.

# # # # *KEY ISSUES HIGHLIGHTED*

1. *Ongoing violence*: Cattle raiding and revenge attacks by armed youth continue to threaten peace and lives.
2. *Impact*: Displacement, hunger, trauma, and disruption of trade and movement between communities.
3. *Limited results*: Past peace efforts have had limited impact due to low participation of armed youth.

# # # # *THE SOLUTION: WOMEN-LED PEACE INITIATIVE*

Women leaders from Warrap, Lakes, and Unity petitioned the Ministry of Peacebuilding for an *inclusive peace dialogue*.
*Goal*: To promote durable peace, reconciliation, and peaceful coexistence through women-led initiatives.

*Target Counties*:
*Warrap*: Gogrial East, Twic, Tonj North, Tonj West, Tonj South
*Unity*: Mayom, Koch, Mayendit, Panyijiar
*Lakes*: Cuibet, Rumbek North, Rumbek East, Yirol East

1. Mobilize women, cattle camp youth leaders, spiritual leaders, and border chiefs
2. County-level consultations to identify root causes and solutions
3. 3-Day Inter-State Peace Conference at a neutral venue
4. Develop joint resolutions and strategies to reduce violence
5. Establish a Joint Warrap, Unity & Lakes Peace Taskforce

YAFCT-SS Organization keeps on
Strengthening Partnership and Peace building Through CEPIC Consortium.

Youth Action for Community Transformation – South Sudan (YAFCT-SS) is pleased to participate in the CEPIC Consortium Monthly Meeting, held on 13 August 2026 at the CEPIC Head Office, MC Catering Center Compound, Juba, South Sudan.

The meeting brought together consortium member organizations to review the work plan, strengthen partnership engagement, explore available opportunities, and prepare for upcoming elections.

The session also provided an important platform for engagement with Mothering Across Continents and New Gen Peace builders, who shared valuable insights and contributed to discussions on strengthening collaboration and peace building initiatives.

As YAFCT-SS, we are proud to be part of the CEPIC Consortium and remain committed to peace building, community engagement, civic participation, youth empowerment, and inclusive development across South Sudan.

Through collaboration, shared learning, and collective action, we can strengthen local communities and contribute to sustainable peace and development.

YAFCT-SS Strengthens Commitment to Inclusive Education.

Youth Action for Community Transformation Organization (YAFCT-SS) successfully participated in a three-day workshop on Educating Children with Disabilities, hosted by Humanity & Inclusion (HI) at Regency Hotel from 12–14 August 2026.

The training strengthened participants’ knowledge and practical skills in inclusive education, accessibility, safeguarding, child protection, and supporting learners with disabilities.

YAFCT-SS remains committed to promoting inclusive, accessible and quality education for every child, regardless of disability.

Refresher training was conducted on Strengthening GBV Protection and Survivor-Centered Support through the support of Isira Aid organization.

We are pleased to share that the Executive Director of Youth Action for Community Transformation – South Sudan (YAFCT-SS), a member of the CEPIC Consortium, successfully participated in a refresher training on Gender-Based Violence (GBV), Protection, and Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS).

The training covered

key areas including:

1-Basic information and introduction to GBV, including its types and consequences.

Key protection services and referral pathways.

1-Principles and ethics of working with GBV survivors.

2-Introduction to protection and basic understanding of protection concepts.

3-Introduction to MHPSS and practical case scenarios.

The refresher training was conducted by Isira Aid Organization in South Sudan and provided an important opportunity to strengthen knowledge, skills, ethical practice, and survivor-centered approaches in GBV and protection programming.

YAFCT-SS remains committed to strengthening protection, promoting dignity and confidentiality, and contributing to safer and more inclusive communities through meaningful collaboration within the CEPIC Consortium.

YAFCT-SS Participates in CEPIC Consortium Executive Meeting.

Youth Action for Community Transformation – South Sudan (YAFCT-SS) proudly participated in the CEPIC Consortium Executive Debrief Meeting held on 11 August 2026.

The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration, organizational capacity, due diligence readiness, and resource mobilization among consortium members. Members reviewed the recent Due Diligence Assessment, fundraising performance, and strategies for improving sustainability and future funding opportunities.

YAFCT-SS remains committed to working collaboratively with CEPIC Consortium members and partners to strengthen youth-led organizations and contribute to sustainable peace, development, and community transformation in South Sudan.
