Aweil West Football Team has issued a strong call for public support to help meet medical and related costs for its player, Mayen Mayen, who is currently admitted at Gudele Hospital in Juba.
Speaking on behalf of the team, the Information Secretary, Awien Garang Angong, said community contributions remain critical as the player continues his recovery.
He acknowledged the support already received and outlined key contributions made so far:
1. Dhel Mangok โ 1,000,000 South Sudanese Pounds
2. Kuach Kuach Mathiang โ 50,000 South Sudanese Pounds
3. Dhal Kuach Akot โ 50,000 South Sudanese Pounds
Awien said contributions are still ongoing and appealed to supporters, fans, and the general public to continue giving whatever they can to support the playerโs medication, accommodation, and other essential needs.
On the playerโs condition, Awien confirmed that Mayen Mayen is responding well to treatment and is steadily improving.
He said the situation is no longer critical, with some medical tests already completed and others still pending under close medical supervision.
He thanked all well-wishers for their prayers, unity, and generosity, emphasizing that continued collective support will be vital until the player makes a full recovery.
