Aweil West Football Team has issued a strong call for public support to help meet medical and related costs for its player, Mayen Mayen, who is currently admitted at Gudele Hospital in Juba.

Speaking on behalf of the team, the Information Secretary, Awien Garang Angong, said community contributions remain critical as the player continues his recovery.
He acknowledged the support already received and outlined key contributions made so far:
1. Dhel Mangok — 1,000,000 South Sudanese Pounds
2. Kuach Kuach Mathiang — 50,000 South Sudanese Pounds
3. Dhal Kuach Akot — 50,000 South Sudanese Pounds

Awien said contributions are still ongoing and appealed to supporters, fans, and the general public to continue giving whatever they can to support the player’s medication, accommodation, and other essential needs.

On the player’s condition, Awien confirmed that Mayen Mayen is responding well to treatment and is steadily improving.

He said the situation is no longer critical, with some medical tests already completed and others still pending under close medical supervision.

He thanked all well-wishers for their prayers, unity, and generosity, emphasizing that continued collective support will be vital until the player makes a full recovery.

People of Northern Bahr El Ghazal State are calling for the newly appointed Governor, Hon. Charles Dut Akol to investigate the missing resources which have been embezzled by Simon Ober during his tenure as governor. Governor Ober has gone down in history of Northern Bahr El Ghazal State as the most corrupt and a failed leader who didn’t do anything in the state apart from embezzling public funds and forcefully taking married wives from their husbands. Hence, the people of Northern Bahr El Ghazal State are demanding the newly appointed governor to urgently take strict measures and account Ober for mismanagement of public resources among other corruption cases in the state.

Doctors and medical staff have notified Governor Simon Ober about their plan to lay down their tools this coming Monday, 1st of December, 2025. The doctors in Aweil Civil Hospital have complained about failure of the state government to provide essential services and medical supplies to the hospital. In addition, the doctors have said that Governor Ober has failed to address their needs such as salaries and incentives which were used to be given to them by the former governor, Hon. Tong Akeen. On the similar issue, the citizens of Northern Bahr El Ghazal State have raised concerns about the increasing death rate in Aweil civil hospital and lack of proper treatment for the patients.

People of Northern Bahr El Ghazal State have called for the removal of Governor Simon Ober from the office. Governor Ober has badly failed to meet the needs of the people and organize the SPLM Party in the state. Thus, the people of NBGs are calling H.E, Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit to remove him and appoint a leader who will work for delivery of services and unite the members of the party in the state.

Security forces in Northern Bahr El Ghazal State-Aweil have seized two cars loaded with sacks of money on their way to Bar Mayen- Aweil Center County. According to the reliable sources, those two cars belong to incumbent Governor of NBGs/ Aweil, Hon. Simon Ober who is currently in Juba after being summoned by the President yesterday. Sources are claiming that Governor Ober will be shown exit door tonight at 8:00 PM on SSBC. Hence, we’re still investigating the owner of the money and will be feeding audiences and the general public with all the information related to the money that has been seized by the security personnel in Northern Bahr El Ghazal State, Aweil.

People of Northern Bahr El Ghazal State are massively calling H.E, Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit President of the Republic of South Sudan to reappoint Hon. Tong Akeen Ngor as Governor of NBGS, Aweil. This call is a popular demand from the people of Mading Aweil after the current Governor, Simon Ober greatly failed to deliver services to the people and keep SPLM party great in the state.

There’s a great chance of relieving Governor Ober from his position later on at 8:00 PM. Hence, people of Mading Aweil at the grassroots are calling the President to reconsider Hon. Tong and appoint him to serve the people and the SPLM in NBGs/Aweil.

Governor Simon Ober of Northern Bahr El Ghazal State has been summoned by the leadership of the country to urgently report himself tomorrow on Friday, 21st of Nov. to Juba without failure. Governor Ober has been dodging the meeting with the President for more than 6 months.

As per the reliable sources, Governor Ober will be fired tomorrow on Friday and his successor is still unknown.

The SPLM Secretariat of Northern Bahr El State has failed to deliver their congratulatory messages to the newly appointed leaders of the SPLM Party including, H.E, Dr. James Wani who has been re-appointed as the 1st deputy chairman of the SPLM and Cde, Akol Paul the newly appointed Secretary General of the SPLM.

Governor Simon Ober who is the Chairperson of the SPLM Party in NBGs/Aweil failed to convey congratulatory messages on behalf of the SPLM in the State to the newly appointed Party leaders.
