Agency for Generational Education - AGE Agency for Generational Education’s vision is mitigate illiteracy and poverty in South Sudan. AGE is also an agency for peace advocacy.

AGE was founded by a group of South Sudanese youths and humanitarian workers who recognized the urgent need to invest in education, health, and livelihoods to break cycles of poverty and dependence. We promote socio-economic development through workshops, vocational and small business startup trainings for youths and women in order to enhance their careers and job opportunities and most importantly be self-reliant and/or employable citizens. About 80% of South Sudan’s population lives in devastating poverty and suffering and this population is left with little or no hope of survival. Age is emerging to help this population rebirth its despaired hope. We reach the most remote areas to serve and save vulnerable people. We resolve communal conflicts and support sports activities in order to promote harmony and coexistence amongst youths and societies. We value and maintain high level of integrity, professional ethics, cultural diversity and respect and fairness for all regardless of one’s background.

Agency for Generational Education (AGE) recently supported the Flood Response Community Engagement Exercise conducted through the Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP) Working Group in collaboration with REACH Initiative and the National Flood Taskforce.

Through Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) conducted in Paguir Payam and neighbouring payams, Fangak County, AGE engaged flood-affected communities to document their experiences, priorities, challenges, and feedback regarding the 2025 flood response.

Paguir Payam remains one of the hard-to-reach and flood-affected areas of Fangak County, where recurrent flooding has displaced families, disrupted livelihoods, limited access to essential services, and increased humanitarian needs. Despite these challenges, community members actively shared their perspectives to help inform future humanitarian planning and improve flood preparedness and response strategies for 2026.

We appreciate the collaboration and coordination of the Accountability to Affected Populations Working Group, REACH Initiative, and the National Flood Taskforce in ensuring that community voices are included in humanitarian decision-making.

At AGE, we remain committed to promoting community engagement, accountability, resilience, and locally led humanitarian action in South Sudan.

The Agency for Generational Education (AGE) is proud to officially announce the launch of its website.

This platform has been developed to strengthen communication, transparency, and engagement with communities, partners, donors, and stakeholders across South Sudan and beyond. Through the website, visitors will be able to learn more about AGE’s mission, programs, community impact, partnership opportunities, and ongoing initiatives in education, health, livelihoods, and resilience building.

Our motto, “Standing for Everyone,” reflects our dedication to inclusivity, equality, and community-driven development.
