We attended one of the ongoing of the Kulea'tu Junior Debate Championship, implemented by Hold the Child under the Kulea’tu Child Development .

Learners are actively engaging in debate - building confidence, critical thinking, and communication skills.

For many, this is their first opportunity to speak and be heard.

Hold the Child is implementing the Kulea’tu Child Development , a long-term initiative focused on nurturing confident, capable, and expressive young people.

As part of this initiative, the Kulea’tu Junior Debate Championship is now underway across Juba.

Schools are actively participating in structured debate sessions that are strengthening critical thinking, communication, and confidence among learners.

This is more than a competition - it is a platform for young voices to be heard, to learn, and to grow.
