🌎 Day of the African Child 2026🌎
Theme: “Ensuring Universal Access to Water, Sanitation and Hygiene for Every Child in Africa”.

Today, The Achol Philip Foundation joins the rest of Africa in commemorating the Day of the African Child, a day dedicated to celebrating the rights, dignity and well-being of every African child.

This year’s theme reminds us that access to clean water, safe sanitation and proper hygiene is not a privilege, it is a fundamental right. Millions of children across Africa still face challenges in accessing these basic necessities, affecting their health, education and future opportunities.

As we reflect on the progress made and the work that remains, we reaffirm our commitment to advocating for and supporting initiatives that create safer, healthier and more equitable environments for children. Every child deserves the opportunity to grow, learn and thrive in a setting where clean water and proper sanitation are readily available.

Yesterday, The Achol Philip Foundation had the honor of welcoming distinguished guests on the first official visit to the She Stands Women’s Museum.

We were privileged to host the Ambassador of India, His Excellency Deepak Miglani, Mrs.Huo Ying, Counselor at the Chinese Embassy and colleagues, Ambassador Dr. Sitona and colleagues, our valued partners led by Director Mr. Charles Kitab and representatives from the Ministry of Culture, Museums and National Heritage.

Their visit marks an important milestone to a lasting journey of cultural exchange, partnership and mutual learning. Since the museum is dedicated to preserving and celebrating the stories of South Sudan Women, we look forward to building stronger collaboration with both the Indian and Chinese Embassies to create opportunities that promote heritage, education, empowerment and international friendship.

Day 1 of the Young Entrepreneurs Boot Camp 2026, an initiative implemented by Youth Empowerment Organization with support from Co-operative Bank of South Sudan, and other partners

The boot camp was officially opened by the Guest of Honor, Hon. Buse Buse the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, whose presence and inspiring remarks encouraged the participants to embrace innovation, leadership and resilience as they shape the future of south Sudan. He also encouraged the young entrpreneurs to persevere in business just like Arsenal’s 22 years journey that led to their success.

At The Achol Philip Foundation, we believe in empowering young people through education, mentorship, creativity, leadership and skills development. The Achol Philip Foundation (APF) proudly congratulates Eden Foundation for the successful organization and implementation of the Young Creatives Challenge 2026 Capacity Building Workshop held at UNIPOD - University of Juba Innovation Hub from 9:00am to 3:00pm.

The Executive Director of The Achol Philip Foundation Ms. Awut Suzan Ahoy was personally present to witness this remarkable and inspiring event and expressed great pride in seeing young South Sudanese actively engaging in meaningful discussions and creative learning experiences that will positively shape the future of the country.

This remarkable initiative brought together talented and passionate young people from six secondary schools across Juba, creating a powerful platform for learning, innovation, creativity, and leadership development. The workshop’s focus on creative writing, climate literacy, sustainability, leadership, communication skills, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), climate action, and Artificial Intelligence in storytelling demonstrates the strong commitment of Eden Foundation toward empowering the next generation of South Sudanese leaders and changemakers.

Yesterday, Eden Foundation successfully organized a one-day student workshop as part of the Young Creatives Challenge 2026 activities at Scenius Hub, in partnership with .

The workshop brought together 25 outstanding participating students for a meaningful day filled with learning, inspiration and engagement centered around creativity, sustainability and Climate Action, Leadership Development, Innovation and Youth Empowerment.

The session created a vibrant platform for young people to exchange ideas, sharpen their skills and explore how creativity can be used to drive positive change within their communities and beyond.

We are proud to partner in initiatives that nurture the next generation of leaders, innovators and change makers. Together, we continue to invest in a future driven by purpose, sustainability and youth potential.
