🌱📚 Inspiring Young Minds for a Greener Future
On 3rd September 2026, the Achol Philip Foundation was pleased to join Eden Foundation for the official launch of the Nyajuma Children’s Book, an important initiative aimed at educating, inspiring, and empowering children.
The launch was honored by the presence of the Hon. Minister of General Education and Instruction, Hon. Kuyok Abol Kuyok, alongside partners and stakeholders committed to the development and education of children in South Sudan.
Following the launch, on 4th September 2026, the initiative continued with school visits to Juba Diplomatic Primary School and St. Lawrence, engaging pupils on environmental awareness and the importance of protecting our planet.
As South Sudan continues to experience the effects of climate change, including environmental degradation and changing weather patterns, there is an urgent need to build environmental responsibility from an early age. One of the practical strategies is advocating for tree planting, environmental conservation, and responsible stewardship of our natural resources.
By targeting children at the primary school level, we aim to nurture a generation that understands the importance of protecting the environment. The initiative also seeks to encourage the establishment of Environmental Clubs in schools, where pupils can actively participate in tree planting, environmental awareness, and other climate-friendly activities.
🌳 Planting a tree today is an investment in the future of our children.
Together, we can raise environmentally responsible young leaders and contribute towards a greener and more resilient South Sudan.
