Today, April 30, 2026, at Legehar, ORDA Building, 2nd Floor, Amhara Bank Headquarters, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Sun Rays Foundation (SRF) and the African Strategic Engagement Council (ASEC) reached a strategic milestone after signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) formalizing a partnership aimed at advancing youth empowerment, digital transformation, and sustainable development across Africa.

Mr. Simon Mikanipare, Executive Director of Sun Rays Foundation, reaffirmed SRF's commitment to youth, education, and digital inclusion across the continent. He described the partnership as a bridge between grassroots delivery and high-level decision-making.

Mr. Tadesse Dagnachew, ASEC Ethiopia Country Director, noted that the partnership aligns with ASEC's broader engagement with the Ethiopian Ministry of Innovation and Technology and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He emphasized that digital transformation, including training on digital skills, will be a key pillar of the collaboration.

It is only through such collaborations that a brighter and better future for Africa can be guaranteed. The woven fabric of Africa's partnership ecosystem is the basis for a strong foundation towards a united, peaceful, economically healthy continent sustained by digitally Savvy Human Capital.

Crossing borders with sports for sports diplomacy enabled by Sun Rays Foundation -SRF in partnership with Zetech University at the East Africa Sports Diplomacy and Play for Peace Youth Tournament that started on the 26th January 2026 to this Saturday 31st January 2026.

The semi finals will be tomorrow at Zetech University Mang'u campus between Gbudue FC from Uganda and Zetech University football team.
