Action Girls Africa (AGA) is a National Non-profit Organization officially registered with the Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (RRC) in conformity with the meaning of Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) Act 2016 of The Republic of South Sudan. The idea leading to the formation of AGA was first initiated by a female-mind set and later shared by two other colleagues. The organization was establ
ished in 2016 and officially registered in January 2017. Believing in the empowerment of girls and women, the organization is committed to mobilizing resources, developing, supporting and leading the implementation of its activities so as to achieve its goal and vision. By empowering its target groups, girls’/women’s knowledge and skills will be enhanced in order to achieve positive change. The organization envisions becoming one of the leading inspiring, transforming and developing agencies through empowerment of the most vulnerable and under privileged girls and women in the East African region and South Sudan in particular. Thus, AGA intends to create a future generation of girls and women that enhances acceptance of diversity and gender equality for equitable development. It is also looking towards a future where women/girls are very sentient of their rights.
