JUBA, South Sudan — South Sudan’s athletics sector continues to show strong progress after two athletes qualified for the upcoming African Seniors Athletics Championship in Accra, Ghana, scheduled for May 12–15, 2026. Olympian Lucia William posted an impressive time of 11.88 seconds, while Thiep Deng Malek set a new national record of 10.40 seconds, marking a major achievement for the country’s track and field.
