UN reports show that 3.6 billion people live without access to safely managed sanitation.1.8 billion people live in areas that are challenged in delivering quality essential health services. 800 children under age 5 die every day from diarrhea linked to unsafe water, sanitation, and poor hygiene.4.3 million girls around the world are at risk of undergoing female ge***al mutilation.

IIRR provides integrated health education through two programs; Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH which is designed to help members of the community increase adoption of good hygiene practices. IIRR believes in centrality of women empowerment and strives to achieve SDGs, AU Agenda 2063: The Africa we want, Maputo protocal, South Sudan Peace Agreement and other continental frameworks.

Iirr held a Meeting today on the review of training materials on climate smart agricultre,thus came up with the outlined realizations;


● Develop user friendly CSA training materials
for Climate Smart Agriculture
● Test CSA curriculum for delivering trainings aimed at increasing capacity .
● Plan and facilitate a meeting
to review the curriculum and incorporate feedback into final training material.
● Incorporating the recommendations from the baseline survey into the curriculum .
● Design and recommend 11 customized Climate Smart technologies appropriate to
address the needs of farmers.
● Incorporate the use demonstrations on gender-responsive climate-smart agricultural
technologies and practices .
● Identify threats to the five selected value chains and include them into the curriculum
● Develop M&E tools to track the number of women and youth groups trained in new
sustainable agricultural technologies .
