End of Year Message from the Executive Director

As we come to the close of the year, I would like to extend my warm greetings to our partners, members of the HFO family, and all our valued stakeholders. I also wish you a Merry Christmas in advance.

This end of year period gives us an opportunity to reflect on the journey we have shared over the past twelve months. It is a time to appreciate how far we have come as an organization, and to acknowledge the collective efforts that have made our work possible.

I would like to sincerely thank the entire HFO team across all our locations for your commitment, resilience, and professionalism throughout the year. Your dedication has played a key role in strengthening HFO, building trust, and expanding our impact across South Sudan and beyond. On behalf of management, and on my own behalf as Executive Director, I deeply appreciate your hard work and contribution.

I also wish to express our sincere gratitude to our donors and partners. Your continued support has enabled us to reach vulnerable communities and save lives. HFO remains fully committed to upholding humanitarian principles and meeting donor requirements in all our interventions. This includes promoting human rights, preventing sexual exploitation and abuse, and ensuring meaningful community participation in the programs that affect their lives.

In collaboration with government authorities, communities, and other stakeholders, HFO continues to uphold its mandate of providing quality healthcare services to those most in need, without discrimination. Serving people with dignity and fairness remains the foundation of our work.

As we move into the festive season, please note that the office will remain open only for emergency coordination purposes. Normal office operations will officially resume on the 12th of January 2026. All staff are encouraged to take this time to rest, celebrate, and reconnect with family and loved ones, and to return refreshed and ready for the year ahead.

As we conclude the year, I would like to once again thank each and every one of you for your dedication and service to HFO. Your contributions continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the people we serve.

I wish you all a joyful Christmas and a peaceful New Year. May this season bring you happiness, good health, and renewed hope.
