ANNOUNCEMENT: FIXTURES DRAFTING FOR THE 1ST PEACE TOURNAMENT 2026

The Central Equatoria State Youth Union (CESYU) wishes to inform the general public, youth, and all participating Counties and Administrative Payams that the official Fixtures Drafting for the 1st Peace Tournament 2026 will take place as follows:

Date: Monday 12th October 2026 at 2 PM
Venue: Union Office, Juba
Main Tournament: 24.10.2026 Juba

Participating Counties and Administrative Payams:
1. Kajo-Keji County
2. Terekeka County
3. Lainya County
4. Morobo County
5. Juba County
6. Yei River County
7. Wondruba Administrative Payam
8. Juba City Council

All coordinators and representatives from the respective Counties and Administrative Payams are requested to attend on time. The drafting will be conducted in a transparent and fair manner.

This tournament is organized under the theme: UNITY, PEACE, YOUTH, DEVELOPMENT with the aim of building peace through sport and strengthening unity among the youth of Central Equatoria State.

CHAIR DUKU INSPECTED THE RENOVATION OF THE YOUTH OFFICE.

Earlier today, Mr. Aggrey Duku Arkangelo, Chairperson of Central Equatoria State Youth Union inspected the Renovation program for the Youth Union office.

The Renovation started earlier this week and will take place for some days.

Official meetings will be arranged outside the office and on due time. And wanted to appreciate the Ministry of Culture, Youth & Sports-CES for initiating and approval thus program.

Councillor representing Kajo-Keji County | Term: 2026-2030

Hon. Anthony holds a Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies. He is passionate about good governance, youth empowerment, democratic participation, peacebuilding and community development.

He is committed to promoting meaningful youth participation in decision-making and contributing to inclusive and sustainable development. With his background in development studies and experience in governance and youth engagement, he brings a strong perspective to youth representation, focusing on good governance, civic participation, youth leadership and community service.

He is currently serving in the CES Youth Union Council representing the youth of Kajo-Keji County.

Councillor representing Kajo-Keji County | Term: 2026-2030

Hon. Yope is a dedicated youth leader who has served as Information Secretary and Publicity at Kajo-Keji Youth Association Coordination Office Juba. He is currently serving as Public Relations Officer for Kajo-Keji Football Association. He is a sports lover and Political Analyst.

He is currently serving in the CES Youth Union Council representing the youth of Kajo-Keji County.

Councillor and Chairperson of Advisory Committee representing Faith-Based Group | Term: 2026-2030

Hon. Maika is a graduate in Social Work and Social Administration from St. Mary's University College, Juba. He is the Youth Chairperson of St. Joseph Parish, Juba, active in Catholic Archdiocese youth ministry, community engagement and advocacy for women and girls' education.

He is currently serving in the CES Youth Union Council as Chairperson of the Advisory Committee.

Culture and Sports Secretary representing Juba County | Term: 2026-2030

Hon. Emmanuel is a public administrator, youth advocate and community mobilizer from Lirya Payam, Juba County. He is the Former Secretary General of Langabu Youth Cultural Association (LYCA) and is dedicated to upholding the youth agenda, nurturing talent, and promoting unity, peace, and development through culture and sports in Central Equatoria State and South Sudan.

He is currently serving in the CES Youth Union as Culture and Sports Secretary.

CES-YU MEETS JUBA CITY COUNCIL YOUTH ASSOCIATION STEERING COMMITTEE

Date: Wednesday, 30th September 2026 | Union Office, Juba

Following the recent appointment of the Juba City Council Youth Association Steering Committee, the Chairperson of the Central Equatoria State Youth Union today received the committee at the Union Office.

The Chairperson briefed them on their Terms of Reference, mandate and expectations as they assume office, and wished them all the best in their endeavors as they embark on serving the youth of Juba City.
