LAINYA COUNTY YOUTH ASSOCIATION ELECTS NEW LEADERSHIP

23 July 2025 The General Assembly of Lainya County Youth Association has elected Mr. Emmanuel Khamis as the new Chairperson of the Association. Mr. Khamis secured 25 votes out of 30 while his challenger won 5 votes. The delegates to the General Assembly were drawn from all the 6 payams of Lainya County.

In another development, Mr. Lasu Noel Alfred won the speakership of the Council after he contested unopposed.

The election process was facilitated by Central Equatoria State Youth Union (CESYU), the local government of Lainya headed by the Hon Commissioner, representatives from the state ministry of culture, youth and sports and other stakeholders.
