These events spanned several locations, including Maduany, Udhum Market, Gabat, Aweil town, Panadhot, Amacrol, and Malek Alel, focusing on gender mainstreaming and the prevention of GBV. Through simple, visual, and community-friendly IEC materials, WART helps ensure critical GBV information is not only shared, but understood and retained by beneficiaries, strengthening awareness, informed decision-making, and timely access to support services.
Captured during a community engagement session in Aweil, a beneficiary reviews a GBV referral pathway material designed to guide communities on where and how to safely access medical, psychosocial, legal, and protection services.
This is part of the mainstreaming GBV prevention interventions in the Joint Resilience Project across Aweil Centre, South, and West, supported by World Food Programme and KfW .
