UNEP is seeking nominations for the 2024 Young Champions of the Earth award

Qualifications:-

1. Age between 18 and 30 years old.
2. Demonstrated commitment to environmental protection.
3. Leadership in projects addressing climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution.
4. Active pursuit of environmental ideas for a minimum of six months.
5. Dedication and feasibility demonstrated in project implementation.

The seven selected UNEP Young Champions get $20,000 funding, attend UN meetings, access

global experts, and receive intensive training and mentoring. UNEP seeks young innovators from diverse backgrounds with bold ideas for a sustainable future.

Nominations open from February 27 to April 5, 2024.

Nairobi, 27 February 2024 – The UN Environment Programme (UNEP) today launched a call for nominations for its Young Champions of the Earth award, which recognizes young people’s contributions and outstanding potential to lead efforts to protect the environment.
