Let’s Talk About Tramadol (Tramol)

Tramadol is a prescription painkiller often used to treat moderate to severe pain. While it can help when used correctly under medical supervision, misuse can have serious effects on individuals and families.

Possible Effects of Tramadol:
• Pain relief and relaxation
• Drowsiness or dizziness
• Nausea and constipation
• Mood changes or confusion

Risks of Misuse or Long-Term Use:
• Dependence and addiction
• Withdrawal symptoms when stopping suddenly
• Memory and concentration problems
• Anxiety, depression, or emotional numbness
• Increased risk of seizures, especially when abused or mixed with other substances

Why Awareness Matters
Many people start using Tramadol for genuine pain but may not realize how easily dependence can develop. Misuse doesn’t only affect the individual—it can impact mental health, relationships, work, and overall quality of life.

Important Reminder
Tramadol should only be used if prescribed by a qualified healthcare professional. If you or someone you know is struggling with misuse, seeking medical help is a sign of strength—not weakness.

Let’s keep the conversation going. Education saves lives. 💙

TRAMADOL

Let me speak plainly about Tramadol because this drug is quietly destroying our children, and too many of us are either ignoring it or only seeing it as a crime without understanding it.

First, understand what Tramadol truly is. It is a prescription painkiller, an opioid that doctors use to treat severe pain like after a major surgery or for a patient suffering from cancer. When used correctly, it comes in small doses taken for a short time under medical supervision. But what is happening in our communities today is not medicine. It is abuse. Our youths are not taking Tramadol to heal broken bones. They are crushing pills, swallowing hundreds of milligrams at once, mixing them with energy drinks and alcohol, chasing a high that numbs everything inside them. They take it not for pain in the body, but for pain in the soul.

The consequences are devastating and we see them every day. Physically, Tramadol turns young men into zombies. They sleep endlessly, they eat nothing, their bodies waste away. Inside, their kidneys and liver are slowly dying. Many will suffer seizures, collapsing in the middle of the road. Some will never have children because the drug makes them infertile. Mentally, it destroys the mind. Users become paranoid, seeing things that are not there, turning violent against their own mothers and fathers. They lose memory, they lose shame, they lose the very thing that makes them human. Socially, they become thieves stealing from their own families to buy the next dose. They cannot work, cannot marry, cannot build a home. A young man who should be herding cattle, building his future, and raising a family becomes instead a burden and a danger to everyone around him.

But we cannot just point fingers at these youths and call them criminals without asking the hard question: what led them here? Why is a young man swallowing poison willingly? The answer is trauma, and we must be honest about it.
Many of our youths carry wounds we cannot see.

Drugs are not just substances. They are silent destroyers. They steal dreams, break families, and weaken communities. What may start as curiosity, peer pressure, or an escape from problems can quickly turn into addiction, pain, and loss.

We are gathered here under one powerful message: Say No to Drugs.

Drugs are not just substances. They are silent destroyers. They steal dreams, break families, and weaken communities. What may start as curiosity, peer pressure, or an escape from problems can quickly turn into addiction, pain, and loss.

In our communities here in Juba and across South Sudan, we are seeing more young people being affected. Talented boys and girls are losing their direction. Bright futures are fading. And families are suffering in silence.

But today, we say: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

At Aboy Foundation, we believe every young person deserves a chance to live a healthy, purposeful life. We believe in empowerment, awareness, and action. That is why we launched this campaign — to educate, to inspire, and to protect our generation.

To the youth:
You are stronger than peer pressure.
You are bigger than any temporary escape.
You are the future of this nation.

Choose football over drugs.
Choose music, art, and culture over drugs.
Choose education, business, and purpose over drugs.

To the parents and community leaders:
Let us guide our children. Let us listen, support, and create safe environments where they can grow without fear or influence of drugs.

To everyone here today:
This fight is not for one person — it is for all of us.

Let us stand together.
Let us raise awareness.
Let us protect our communities.

Say it with me:
Say No to Drugs!
Say Yes to Life!
Say Yes to a Better Future!

It’s painful to see some people say I’m doing this drug abuse campaign for fame or personal interest. That truly hurts me. 💔

My only goal is to help change lives and guide the youth away from drugs. Sometimes words can break you, but I still believe God sees the truth. 🙏

May God protect us from people with bad minds and keep us strong to continue doing good. 💪✨

BREAKING NEWS 🚨

South Sudan’s entertainment industry is currently facing serious criticism after one of its own, video director ALEON ALI, was seen in a heartbreaking condition on the streets of Muniki. Witnesses say he appeared confused, walking around with only a trouser on—no shirt, no shoes—clearly battling severe mental struggles.

This is the same ALEON ALI who once stood behind the camera, helping many South Sudanese artists shine. The same humble, social, and talented brother who contributed to the growth of the music industry. But today, while he is fighting for his mental health, many artists he worked with are silent… busy posting good life, studio sessions, and enjoyment on social media like nothing is happening.

It’s painful.

How can the industry celebrate success while one of its own is suffering in public like this? This is not just about fame anymore—this is about humanity. If we can come together to promote songs, we can surely come together to save a life.

ALEON ALI is not just a video director. He is our brother. And right now, he needs support, care, and urgent intervention.

To all South Sudanese artists—this is a call to action. Not tomorrow. Not next week. Now. Let’s put pride aside and find a solution for him ASAP. Whether it’s medical help, financial support, or simply getting him to a safe place—something must be done.

Mental health is real. Ignoring it will not make it disappear.

May God protect ALEON ALI and grant him healing. We wish him a speedy recovery. 🙏

DRUG IS KILLING OUR YOUTH.
And no one is talking about it, i know 60% of average youth go into it because of ( PEER PRESSURE ) ( DEPRESSION ) ( OUT OF FRUSTRATION ) and ( INFLUENCE ) but believe me there's no justification to engaged in drugs because it damages the remaining part of u that was still alive. People are dying everyday has the results of hard Drugs. Some are in rehabilitation centers/prison's in silence, dreams are being buried, and families are being torn apart. This is not just a drug crisis — it is a national emergency 🚨.

Dangerous Drugs Destroying Our Youth Must Be Banned or Restricted in South Sudan

South Sudan is facing a silent war, not one fought with guns or bombs, but with pills, syrups, and powders. Across our towns, villages, and even schools, harmful drugs like Tramadol, Cosmos, and other toxic substances are spreading rapidly among our young boys and girls.

These drugs are cheap, easily accessible, and incredibly addictive. Tramadol, originally meant as a painkiller, is now being abused as a recreational drug. It damages the body, fogs the mind, and turns promising youth into helpless dependents. Cosmos, a cough syrup containing codeine and other dangerous ingredients, is being misused not to treat illness but to escape reality.

But behind this crisis is a deeper issue, the collapsing economy. Pharmacists and drug sellers, struggling to survive, are often forced to sell these substances without prescriptions, without medical consultation, and without proper documentation. They sell directly to youth who walk in with no check-up papers or diagnosis. In many cases, the sellers know it’s wrong, but hunger, rent, school fees, and survival push them to choose today’s income over tomorrow’s consequences.

What many don’t realize is that these drugs, while offering temporary relief, can destroy lives within 3 to 15 years. The damage is long-term: mental health issues, addiction, organ failure, lost potential, and even death.

This is not just a health issue it’s a national emergency.

We call on the Ministry of Health, lawmakers, security forces, and community leaders to take immediate and coordinated action:

1. Ban or strictly regulate the open sale of Tramadol, Cosmos, and similar toxic drugs.

2. Restrict pharmacies from selling sensitive drugs without proper medical paperwork.

3. Support struggling pharmacists and health workers with alternative income options or subsidies to reduce economic pressure.
