⚖️ Know Your Rights: Disability is Not a Barrier to Equality

People with disabilities are entitled to the same rights and freedoms as everyone else. These rights are protected by international laws, national constitutions, and disability-specific policies.

🧑‍⚖️ Key Disability Rights Everyone Should Know:

1. Right to Dignity and Respect
You deserve to be treated with kindness, respect, and fairness — always.

2. Right to Education
Every child with a disability has the right to go to school and learn in an inclusive environment.

3. Right to Employment
PWDs have the right to work, receive equal pay, and not be discriminated against because of their disability.

4. Right to Accessibility
Public buildings, transport, schools, and services must be made accessible — including ramps, signage, toilets, and information.

5. Right to Healthcare
PWDs should access affordable, inclusive, and respectful healthcare, including rehabilitation and assistive devices.

6. Right to Participate in Public Life
PWDs have the right to vote, hold leadership positions, and take part in community development and decision-making.

7. Right to Protection from Discrimination and Abuse
It is illegal to mistreat or exclude someone because of their disability. Everyone has the right to be safe and protected.

> “Disability is not inability — it is society that must adapt, not the person.”

We educate, advocate, litigate, and empower. Join us in making disability rights a reality for all!

Yes to Comprehensive Sexuality Education‼️
Stop the taboo! It’s time to open up conversations! It’s happening and unfortunately it’s really alarming.

Globally, 1 in 3 women experience physical or sexual violence in their lifetime.

Despite more laws to protect women from gender-based violence, there is a lack of implementation and effective prevention strategies.

A world free from violence is possible, and we call on governments to build a safe society .

Sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) are not just health issues — they are human rights issues. When we empower young people, especially girls, with knowledge and safe spaces to speak, we’re investing in healthier communities and stronger futures.

HIV and AIDS Are Not the Same Thing! ❌

A lot of people still think that if someone has HIV, it means they have AIDS. That’s not true and it’s important we understand the difference:

👉 HIV stands for Human Immunodeficiency Virus. It’s a virus that attacks the body’s immune system.
If someone has HIV and they get tested early, take their meds (ARVs), and take care of their health, they can live a long, healthy life. In fact, with treatment, the virus can become undetectable, which means it can’t be passed on to others!

👉 AIDS stands for Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome. It’s the late stage of HIV, when the immune system is badly damaged and the person gets serious infections or illnesses.
BUT here’s the good news:
If someone living with HIV takes their treatment the right way, they may never get AIDS at all.

💡 So remember:
Having HIV doesn’t mean someone has AIDS.
Taking treatment early = living strong, staying healthy, and preventing AIDS.

Let’s break the stigma and spread the right information!

Protect Our Children

* When parents separate, it's crucial to prioritize the well-being of their children. Children have the right to be loved, cared for, and supported by both parents, regardless of the adults' differences.

*Let's Remember:*

1. Children are not pawns in adult games.
2. Separation doesn't mean abandoning parental responsibilities.
3. Children deserve stability, love, and support from both parents.

*The Impact:*

1. Physical harm: Neglect, lack of care
2. Emotional pain: Anxiety, depression, low self-esteem
3. Mental health: Trauma, stress
4. Future consequences: Difficulty in relationships, self-doubt

*Let's Work Together:*

1. Prioritize children's needs and well-being.
2. Communicate effectively as co-parents.
3. Provide a stable, loving environment.

*Children's Rights Matter:* Let's ensure they receive the care and support they deserve from both parents.

Digital Violence: A Hidden but Harmful Threat

Did you know that 85% of women globally have experienced or witnessed digital violence against other women?
This includes cyberbullying, online harassment, and non-consensual sharing of intimate images.

As we embrace technology, let’s ensure our digital spaces remain safe and respectful. Digital violence is not “just online”; its emotional and psychological impact is real and profound.

Take a Stand: Say NO to Every Form of Gender-Based Violence!

According to international human rights law, countries have to provide pain treatment medications as part of their core obligations under the right to health; failure to take reasonable steps to ensure that people who suffer pain have access to adequate pain treatment may result in the violation of the obligation to protect against cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment.
