As South Sudan strengthens Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) preparedness, CMMB health workers are reaching communities with essential health education on EVD signs and symptoms, prevention, and the importance of seeking care early.

With generous support from WHO and the Logistics Cluster, CMMB South Sudan has received tents in Yambio, Western Equatoria State, to support BVD isolation centres in the state.

This support strengthens frontline preparedness and helps health facilities respond quickly, protect communities, and save lives during health emergencies.

WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS | CMMB SOUTH SUDAN

With the Mission in Our Hearts, We Serve Together

CMMB South Sudan’s Country Director, together with the Senior Management Team, recently visited St. Theresa Mission Hospital in Nzara, Western Equatoria State.

The visit was an opportunity to listen, learn, connect, and strengthen our shared commitment to serving communities. The team engaged with hospital leadership and health workers, reviewed ongoing interventions, and witnessed firsthand the dedication behind the services being delivered.

From maternal and child health to stronger health service delivery, CMMB and its partners are working together to bring quality, sustainable, and integrated healthcare closer to the women and children who need it most.

With the mission in our hearts and service in our hands, we remain committed to improving health and well-being, strengthening families, and building healthier, more resilient communities.

Because when leaders, health workers, partners, and communities come together, meaningful change becomes possible.

A New Week. A New Opportunity to Trust God.

At CMMB South Sudan, we begin each week with God—seeking His guidance, strength, and wisdom as we serve communities.

Today’s reflection: Mark 7:27–30

This powerful passage reminds us that faith, humility, and persistence can carry us through difficult moments. Even when the journey is challenging, we are called to keep believing, keep serving, and keep moving forward.

Guided by faith and driven by our mission, we work to improve the health and well-being of women and children, strengthen families, and build healthier communities.

Faith in our hearts.
Service in our hands.
Hope in every community.

As we begin this new week, may God guide our decisions, strengthen our hands, and bless the communities we are privileged to serve.

Light is a powerful symbol. In today’s Gospel, the prophet Isaiah reminds us that light overcomes the dark, and for us at CMMB, light is hope.

In Haiti, that hope shines through compassionate care for people affected by Hansen’s Disease, replacing fear and stigma with dignity and healing.
