URGENT ACTION IN GOGRIAL WEST | CHOLERA RESPONSE CAMPAIGN KICKS OFF

In the past week alone, nearly 30 lives have been lost to a devastating cholera outbreak in Gogrial West, Warrap State. The toll on families and communities is heartbreaking β€” but action is underway.

As an active WASH partner, The Chagai Foundation (TCF) is launching an emergency 2-week Cholera Response Campaign from 9th to 30th April 2025, focused on 4 supported health facilities in the most affected areas.

Our response includes:
β€’ Emergency WASH services: Safe water access through chlorine tablets and jerrycan distribution
β€’ Essential medicines and supplies to treat and contain infections
β€’ Construction and rehabilitation of latrines to improve sanitation
β€’ Health and hygiene promotion through trained ambassadors and door-to-door campaigns

Under the campaign theme:
β€œTogether Against Cholera: Clean Water, Safe Hands, Healthy Lives”,
we call on communities, leaders, and partners to unite, act fast, and protect lives.

Let’s break the chain of transmission and build a healthier future β€” one household at a time.
