Zero Discrimination Day 2026

This March as dedicated to fight Stigma and Discrimination against PLHIV, We stand together to promote equality, respect, and human dignity for all. Discrimination based on HIV status, gender, occupation, or background continues to affect many people in our communities.

Let us work together to create a society where everyone is treated with fairness, love, and respect, and where people can access health services without fear or stigma.

Together, we can break stigma, end discrimination, and build a healthier future for all.

ADVOCACY IN ACTION : STRENGTHENING LAB SERVICES IN SOUTH SUDAN

In 2023, during engagement with the Global Fund, NEPWU strongly advocated for the introduction of chemistry and haematology analysers to improve laboratory capacity for monitoring essential body organs for People Living with HIV (PLHIV) and the general population.

We are proud to share that this advocacy yielded results. The Global Fund accepted the proposal and provided 17 chemistry analysers and 17 haematology analysers to support quality diagnosis and treatment monitoring across health facilities.

NEPWU was honored to witness the official handover of this vital laboratory equipment by UNDP to the Ministry of Health on friday the 30/01/2026, marking a significant step toward strengthening the national health system and improving patient outcomes.

This milestone reflects the power of evidence-based advocacy, strong partnerships, and collective commitment to quality healthcare for all.

Even in the most hard-to-reach communities, access to HIV care and treatment must not stop.

This image captures our Community HIV Service Officer on outreach, crossing difficult terrain in Yei to ensure that clients receive life-saving ARVs, viral load samples are collected, and treatment adherence and retention are closely monitored.

Through dedication and community-led approaches, we continue to:
✅ Deliver ART services to clients who face geographical and structural barriers
✅ Collect viral load samples to support treatment monitoring and viral suppression
✅ Provide adherence counseling and follow-up, ensuring no one is left behind
✅ Strengthen retention in care through peer and community support
