At Farson For Better Tomorrow South Sudan,we believe each and every child is to grow up with healthy and sound mind, today our child protection and the livelihoods team rolled out Mental health and psychosocial support to vulnerable children in schools as well as community outreach programmes on proper parenting and community based Nutrition through community seed bed intiatives an approach that ensures available diet and sound growth within homes and schools,the health and safety of our children is in our hands, it takes the whole village to raise a child

In Rajaf, change is not just being discussed but led by the community, Farson For Better Tomorrow NNGO South Sudan contacted a four days training on community led total sanitation and water management committees and successfully graduated 15 members of the communities as community Hygiene and Sanitation promoters as well as water management to ensure the sustainability of the only water point serving over two thousand house holds,in collaboration with the local stakeholders, the block representatives committed to ensuring hygiene and sanitation through making sure that each and every household has a latrine, during the award of the certificates of completion, Farson For Better Tomorrow NNGO South Sudan WASH officer stressed the need for the community to be accountable for their day to day life style and proper care of the available water points since it is very difficult to have one in place by humanitarian actors due to funding gaps

Healthy minds live in Healthy bodies, Healthy bodies live in clean environment, Our CLTS team today had community engagement session at Rajaf with main focus on Community led total sanitation and water management in preparations for the expected rains due, Cholera, Acute watery discharge happens as a result of dirt in water or anything eatable, with the help of the local chives and collaboration with the communities, FBTSS is ensuring each and every home has a latrine and rubbish pit using the local materials, Our area should not report any cholera suspect this year" says the chief and the community social workers, NO open defecation and continues hygiene practices is the slogan to practice in each home at all times, great thanks to the community for managing well the first ever latrine constructed by Farson and the community

Our hygiene and sanitation team had discussions with the communities of kabu on the importance of personal and public hygiene, engaged with the community leaders,The sanitation and hygiene team encouraged to communities to stick to using latrines and covering food as well as washing hands frequently with soap and purifying drinking water,a total of 500 households mixed with returnees are benefiting from the self funded activities, farson continues risk communication and community engagement in ensuring healthy lives
