A successful ending to a meaningful journey.

As we concluded our Pad Her Future Campaign at New Nation Academy Primary School, we came together for a group photo with the headteacher, students, the Amal Foundation team, and the Hope Season Org. South Sudan team to celebrate a day of learning, empowerment, and hope.

Together, we are helping adolescent girls stay informed, stay confident, and stay in school through menstrual health education.

Thank you to everyone who made this campaign a success. This is only the beginning—together, we will continue creating a brighter future for every girl.

At New Nation Academy Primary School, we guided a learner on how to properly wear underwear and use a sanitary pad. Through practical learning, we are helping girls gain the knowledge and confidence to manage their menstrual hygiene with dignity.

Empowering Girls Through Menstrual Health Education

As part of our Pad Her Future Campaign, Amal Foundation successfully conducted a menstrual health awareness session at New Nation Academy Primary School in Kiyada.

The session focused on educating girls about menstrual hygiene management, breaking myths surrounding menstruation, and building their confidence to manage their periods with dignity. To support their well-being, we distributed sanitary pads and Vaseline to the participants, ensuring they have essential items to help them stay healthy, comfortable, and confident.

We believe that access to menstrual health education and hygiene products is essential for keeping girls in school and empowering them to achieve their full potential.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our partners, volunteers, and the school administration for making this initiative a success. Together, we are creating a future where every girl can learn with confidence and dignity.

Today, Amal Foundation, in collaboration with Hope Season Organization, had the privilege of visiting New Nation Academy Primary School as part of the Pad Her Future Campaign.
Our session focused on Ending Child Marriage, an issue that continues to affect the lives and dreams of many young girls. Through honest conversations and interactive learning, we encouraged the girls to understand their worth, stay in school, and believe that they have the right to choose a future filled with opportunity and hope.
A heartfelt thank you to Sonia Martin, whose passion and dedication brought the session to life. By speaking in a simple, relatable way, she ensured that every girl—from the youngest to the oldest—could understand the message, ask questions freely, and leave feeling informed and empowered.
At Amal Foundation, we believe that empowering a girl begins with giving her knowledge. When a girl understands her rights and believes in her potential, she is better equipped to make choices that protect her future.

Meet Our Facilitator – Anna Lamunu Mark

Amal Foundation is honored to introduce Anna Lamunu Mark, a young leader, role model, and advocate for girls' empowerment, who will be joining our upcoming Pad Her Future outreach program at New Nation Academy Primary School on 29th June 2026.

Anna will facilitate a session on Menstrual Hygiene Awareness, equipping students with essential knowledge on menstrual health, self-care, confidence, and dignity. Beyond this important topic, she will also share her personal journey of leadership, resilience, and self-belief to inspire young learners to pursue their dreams.

Anna currently serves as Miss First Lady South Sudan 2025–2026 and Top model Little Miss Africa South Sudan Little Mister & Miss Africa South Sudan 2025–2026. She is also the Assistant Secretary of Daughters of Light and a member of Big Base Models Management

Her achievements demonstrate that young women can lead, inspire, and create positive change in their communities. Through her story, students will have the opportunity to learn about confidence, leadership, and the importance of embracing opportunities that help them grow and succeed.

We are proud to have Anna join us as we continue empowering the next generation through education, mentorship, and awareness.
